there are eleven different sexual relationships that are directly condemed in the old testament.

strikingly your daugher and your niece are not listed.

I agree blondie, but it is telling that it was not directly forbiden in Deut. That book was not found till closer to 650 BC. Which tells me it was not a priority.

I have heard of nutty christian groups using this as cover for the fathers enjoying the women of the family.

Churches are not "true" charitable giving. I hate it when I hear Tithers talking about how charitable they are for giving 10% to a church. Romney's effective tax rate was lower than most Americans. Carried Interest is a bunch of bs. I hope the BTS and James make over 200k, it makes being a republican more forgivable.

I love Sam Harris. Letter to a Christian Nation is a great book. I used it to help someone in their unconversion. In less than a year I have converted more people than I ever would have as a JW.

I was hit by this topic after doing reaserch in the Old Testament. There are eleven different sexual relationships that are directly condemed in the old testament. Strikingly your daugher and your niece are not listed. Is this a factor of it being somewhat OK back 3000 years ago? It seems to me to be more proof that the bible is a book writen by man.
