Inherited a 130 year old violin

i inherited a 130 year old violin from my mum that was owned by my great grandfather.

i am learning to play it with some success as my teacher says i could pass preliminary and first grade now.

i have only 10 lessons under my belt so far but it is getting hard now.

objection 1: the holy spirit is called the "power of god" ro.15:13,19. how can "a power" be a person?.

1:24 jesus is also called "the power of god".. does that mean that jesus is not a person?.

objection 2: the holy spirit is said to "fill" (play ru o) people.. how can a person be filled by another person?.

I dont have the time to look it up but I would bet that most Jewish Rabbi's wouild not agree with your opinion on the Holy Spirit. I do think that the NT teaches a triune god, but that is because they are taking their teachings from the egyptians and greeks.

just curious how many of you live around co and, more specifically, near fort collins?

of course, we're open to any city that is less conservative and has awesome summer weather and outdoor activities.

Is it biblically ok to have sex with your daughter or niece?

i was hit by this topic after doing reaserch in the old testament.

there are eleven different sexual relationships that are directly condemed in the old testament.

strikingly your daugher and your niece are not listed.

First off, isn't it interesting that 'God' went into such depth after the scripture you quoted and left out niece and daughter. If he had just left it as dont have sexual relations with a close relative it would be ok, but the very next sentence condems having sex with your mother. Why not pair that and say mother and father? Why not explicitly condem having sex with your brothers daughter if you will condem sex with his wife? Based on what the pitfalls of man has been, wouldn't it have made sense to forbid the most common form of incest(father daughter)?

"Do not have se x ual relations with both a woman and her daughter." This scripture only forbids some woman not your wife nor your daughter.

I am not trying to be nit-picky, but if this book claims to be God's word then maybe it could have been written in a way that evil men coulld not manipulate it.
