I'm with the other poster re: the hangover though - no sympathy; self-inflicted injury. Sigh - here, have two of my painkillers, guaranteed to work better than your tylenol.

my car has been in the shoppe for the past 2 days, so i've been making my way around town by riding the city bus.
i actually like it quite a bit, and it is good on the conscience knowing that i am not contributing to global warming by using a 3000 pound carbon dioxide spewing vehicle to haul my 140 pound ass around town.
i am going to continue riding even after i get my car back.. anyways, i got on the bus yesterday, and lo and behold, the driver was a watchtowerist from my last congo.
Not a dump post at all! I love taking the bus, unless it's rush hour, but even then one can 'zone out' for a bit, which cannot be done while driving.
We've got decent public transit here, and I refer to the bus as my 'limo'. (I do miss my van though - kinda hard to take two dogs on the bus and go for a cruise)

all they produce is one bloody great drink that everyone loves.. anyone else heard of or have something on this corporation?.

i've had this cowdog for nearly 11 years now.
today she went out in the sun and got heatstroke and just didn't recover.
i gave her cpr and brought her back twice but she was too far gone.

(I will admit that Lemon Diet Coke is just a 'mix' for alcoholic drinks and is only drinkable by itself when one is desperate. Also - Cherry Coke was and is a joke/mistake.)

36,oops, 13 days to 37yrs old. (23 and gaining experience). Female. Nova Scotia, Canada. Mother of two girls, 18 and 20 yrs old; step mom to two sons, 19 and 13 yrs and one step daughter, 10yrs old. Single parent of own two daughters. Technically married - separated for 5 years. Returning to school to secure a job that will allow me to take part time courses in Psychology and medicine.
Also live with two dogs, two cats and a siamese fighting fish. Also thinking of naming my migraine.

i just wanted to get a little dialog going with some of the members here who workout.
i know reborn works out quite a bit and i've been doing fairly well as of recently in getting back into a regular exercise regimine.
so far i've worked out everyday for the past 17 days, i usually try to do weight training at least 3-4 times a week and i usually do some cardio everyday.
Hmmm, growing up, I always ran: track n field; relay, then volleyball, softball and soccer. Nowadays I walk alot, do yoga and pilates, swim when I get the chance and weight train at home. I'm planning on taking up a little jogging soon.
Oh, I run for the bus and jump through gov't BS hoops too.

my sister just called me at work to let me know that her husband (until recently, unsympathetic to her doubts) is thoroughly confused and pissed off by the new 'worship' book!.
he has been comparing it with the 'united' book, has noted the obvious differences (3 missing chapters), and has begun examining it word for word...now he is raving looney about it.. to top it off, they were at bethel within the last few days, somehow ended up in brother larson's personal office, and were astonished to find a model spanish galleon replete with huge crosses, and a huge portrait of good ol' max towering over the watchtower itself.
she said her husband thought it looked like a propaganda poster for 'big brother'..... finally!
Well, gosh, it's about bloody time something 'within' the borg pissed it's own recruits off. This sounds huge. Talk about the missing link? Now we have the missing chapters. *Poof* The GB must be into that devil magic disappearing stuff that they warn everyone of. Oops, but of course, it's ok for THEM.
What a bizarre world the GB must live in eh? Do they consider ALL their slaves to be idiots and not notice the missing chapters? Ah, get out the back-hoes and let them dig their own graves.

when i became associated with the jws in 1968, i was working at a machine manufacturing plant in california.
Amazing and Naebs - those were really touching accounts - really. I just stared at the screen for awhile after reading them, caught up in both of them.
I truly believe we learn lessons from every single person we cross paths with.
Amazing, I hope you don't see it as time wasted but lessons and perspective gained.
Naebs, how did you feel that day when that lady said that?
