Is there some where we can send condolences? I'd love to send this man a hug.

.
hey saddam and all you peace nics!!!!!!!!!!!!.
na na da boo boo!!!!!!!!
Yeru hon, I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting a peaceful solution. We ALL know in our heart of hearts that this isn't possible with a psychopath like Saddam. (he shot his early grade school teacher to death and went home to sleep for crying out loud - dude was born that way)
Did you mean pacifists instead of 'peace nics' ? I'm sure that you would rather not send your men into battle if it wasn't necessary. I was a military wife for 9 years and knew all the stressors of stand-by etc. Due to another one of your posts, it appears you command or teach soldiers. Soldiers care about each other. They've got to - to be able to do what their gov'ts expect of them.
I personally would like Saddam and his family destroyed - yes - killed, and I AM a peaceful person. What worries me now is that the Arab world is all behind him and says that the Middle East will become hell if USA attacks. Can you tell me why they would do that? (back Saddam, I mean) Or do you think this is a ploy to decieve Saddam, because earlier they would say one thing in public and another in private. How can anyone like or trust Saddam!
The Canadian Gov't is presently requesting proof. When this happens Yeru - not if, when, I hope the allies and even China, Russia etc get involved.
After what he did to Kuwait (and I know a muslim family who endured searches by his men. the family now lives in my area) and blasting all those oil wells open - it shows he doesn't give a flying phuk about anything or anyone.
bttt Can you explain why the arab world is now backing him?
hugs, (and thank you for your support in another thread)

i was so tired tonight and could barely wait to snuggle up with my diego.
for some reason, probably the neverending headache, or the neverending thinking and analyzing process - i laid there wide awake while my two dogs snored.
how rude!
Undecided - I would love to live in the country. It's sad when animals and 'civilization' collide. Animals always get the crappy end of the deal and we're the ones imposing on them.

who rules the world?.
is there anyone one dominant force that has a large control over the world?.
who should make up the rules for life( the most powerful nations, businesses, scientists, others), and why should we follow them?.
sleepy - has anyone ever told you that you're a question factory? Cos your post proves it!
Sorry darlin' - too many questions, each deserving their own debate.

Undecided - I don't think this woman will think of this experience as fun. That being said - she deserved it.
Now where was Jehovah! Why wasn't he protecting her! Gosh, golly and gee. I'll bet she never goes near a house with a Beware of Dog sign now!

scully - that's one of my worries that they're around. My daughter told me she heard that rabies was in our province now (hadn't been before).
The critters actually didn't make any mess. Awful noisy digging! I did however, hear them flip someone else's garbage can. (Only a raccoon knows how to do that perfectly)
Ona - I'm in suburbia. It use to be 'on the outskirts' until someone decided to cut down the trees and build housing. We certainly still have swaths of green, but I never thought I'd see these critters on my deck.
expatbrit - Yeh, I know, and if they come back, I'll call the proper authorities to have them re-located.
lilacs - As much as I looooove animals, my dogs would never allow these strange critters to stay peacefully. Plus - there is always the rabies threat. That's why I said I'd warn my neighbors in the morning.
damn they're cute tho!

i am just barely hanging on to my sanity again.
going through one of my terrible.
panicky periods.
Joelbear - I went through a period of time where anxiety ruled me. My doctor put me on clonadine (dexerit). Ask your doctor if this could help you. I don't know what's causing your anxiety or what meds you are or are not on - but I wouldn't wish anxiety like that on anyone.
Like metatron said - see your doctor. Get a second opinion even. You don't need to suffer like this.

A dog that bit a Jehovah's Witness minister after she ignored "Beware of Dog" signs has been spared a death sentence by a Winnipeg court.
Piotr Skawinski, the dog's owner, testified he had two visible warning signs up the day that Ethel Mannetje walked into his back yard.
He also said his six-year-old Labrador-German shepherd cross named Boss has never bitten anyone before and is good with children.
"For the court to put my dog to sleep because he was in his own boundaries and somebody stepped into it, not paying attention, I think that's just bad," Mr. Skawinski said.
"For a lady that's been going door to door for I don't know how many years and still hasn't learned to look for a 'Beware of Dog' sign I don't know what the lady was thinking."
Judge Marvin Garfinkel agreed and dismissed a rare discretionary application by the City of Winnipeg to destroy the dog.
Ms. Mannetje told court that on June 15 she was going from door to door doing bible education work when she went into the back yard of the Skawinski home.
"I didn't see (the dog) coming," she testified. "I turned around and then he bit me. He knocked me down and bit me in the bum."
Boss also took a chunk out of Ms. Mannetje's left leg, which required skin grafts to repair. She spent 17 days in hospital.

I am sickened by the fact that her lawyer was with her and NOT her father. How's that for JWs priorities!
He had every right to see his daughter one last time. Gimme 5 minutes alone with that excuse for a mother. This infuriates me.
The ONLY one I feel saddened for is the father, and a teenager who should've never been put in that position.

I was SO tired tonight and could barely wait to snuggle up with my Diego. For some reason, probably the neverending headache, or the neverending thinking and analyzing process - I laid there wide awake while my two dogs snored. How rude!
Then I heard a strange sound out my window. Just below my window is the deck, and on the deck were 3 garbage bags that had not made it to the bin out front. Something was digging furiously into my garbage! How rude!
I got up to the window and cast a nasty eye downward and two fluffy figures made themselves apparent. I began hissing like a cornered cat would do. One got startled and sorta took off. I watched... do cats walk like that I wonder? Curiousity got to me, and then the dogs went wild. Couldn't be cats. I saw waddles, and stripes and bandit eyes. Raccoons on my deck! How sweet!
The second was bolder than the first and stuck around despite Diego's superbark at the deck door. The lil guy/gal? crawled up the railing and onto the other side and walked across that way, instead of on top. (reminded me of how Mario moved in those castles with Nintendo) Then he stopped for a nibble at the bird feeder and with Diego practically frothing now, decided to leave. How sad!
I've lived here five years and never seen one single raccoon. This isn't the first time our garbage was on the deck. These weren't full grown raccoons, cos they were only cat sized. Babies! How adorable!
I now have to clean up the mess these two very noisy bandits made - but in the morning. 2:30am and I'm wide awake, with dogs now on standby. At least it was something different instead of the usual cat fights or sirens etc. I remember these dudes relatives flipping garbage cans at the campground in the dead of night. Watching that lil one skirt my deck was amazing. I wonder where their mom is.
Guess I'll warn the neighbors when the sun wakes up. Thot I'd share. T'was cute
