  Am I damaging the silentlambs cause?

  one of the few unfounded (i think) accusations that have been thrown at me by certain people is that i have caused 'untold damage' to the silentambs cause.. i don't know quite what this is supposed to mean or what i'm suppoed to have done or whether it is anything more than just 'mud' flung by people who find it easier to criticise rather than actually do anything.. over the last year (is it?

  ) i've been happy to promote the silentlambs cause and have hosted links to bills site and vidoes / sound files of tv programmes, radio reports, photo's of the march etc... as well as providing a place for people to meet and arrange things.

  i hope it has been useful and helpful to at least some people.. if i have inadventantly held things up in some way then i unreservedly and wholeheartedly apologise.. all i can say is, i do my best and may not always get things right.

  Simon - no worries hon. If you were doing something wrong - you'd hear it from the masses here. To ditto another poster - listen to Silentlambs. If you were doing harm to them, they'd let you know. So relax.

  Oh... great Canadian there... eh? I hope to meet you and Ang when you come to Canada. I'll have you and your crew there over for an Atlantic Canadian experience

  Is duct tape the answer?

  i was just wondering what means or methods might be used to inhibit or prohibit family members from attending meetings, or if those who wished to should be allowed to attend unfettered, so to speak.. after i was disfellowshipped, my ex-wife quite naturally continued to attend meetings.

  i enjoyed these all too brief respites from her company and was delighted that jehovahs witnesses demanded that she be out of the home on a frequent basis.. however, had i actually enjoyed her company i can see now that this would have been an irritant and am wondering if any here have attempted preventative measures to keep this from happening.

  Maybe he got sick and tired of his same ol' same ol' and is busy reinventing himself, perhaps with a brand new nickname? Perhaps he'll show up as "I Know".

  Or, maybe he is one of the annointed now.

  The possibilities are endless. On that note, I will say that I hope nothing bad has befallen him.

  Plum - I am not the least bit angry or emotional. So suck it back. You are demanding proof from someone and you've no right to do that. Not only that, but you are mocking my experience.

  No I don't know what you or your children have gone through - but I don't go doubting you or demanding proof from you. I would, however, support your every effort to heal AND voice your experience without being attacked. I wouldn't turn around and mock you, as you have done me here tonight.

  My posts tonight are to show that this shit happens. I don't know this case of Pat's and I have no right to question it or go into hush mode because of the topic. Any abuser feeds on silence, and if Pat needed to break that - then so be it.

  Sick shit happens in this world and no one has the right to pick and choose who should say what and when just because of public opinion.

  Plum - how dare you put down someone who you say 'blurts out unsubstantiated accusations' . How do YOU know they are unsubstantiated? Where do you get off mocking personal experiences?

  I think you've shown a very low side to your personality. And it'll stick to you - not me.

  I've been nothing but serious and truthful. For you to mock it - is sad. Perhaps you would like to mock the RCMP as well huh?

  Please don't call yourself a supporter of abuse survivors - THAT would be a farce, especially after what you've said tonight.

  Plum - I never thot you'd be of the class who choose which genre of abuse survivors to support! I'm appalled.

  Satanic abuse is nothing more than a cosy bunch of pedophiles who figured out a brilliant way to keep their victims silent. The mere mention of 'satan' stands to discredit those who dare to tell.

  You'll all support those who say they are raped, and abused in numerous other ways - but when it comes to this - you go 'hush hush - we need proof'. You don't go demanding that with other accusations of abuse.

  I'm ashamed of ya. I am. It's an insult for you to go picking and choosing which genre of abuse survivors you'll support. THat makes you a hypocrite. And it's an insult.

  So due to a public popularity contest, you'll diss people who've gone through horrible things because of a label given it. How shallow and pathetic.

  I'm not the one who has to take a long look at my choice of actions. Productive perspective? I am being productive. Not popular on this subject - but I am being productive. What the hell kind of damage are you talking about? The damage has been done in my life and I am now picking up the pieces. Unlike you, who choose so as to not rub the public the wrong way, I support abuse survivors. I don't pick and choose. Yer all judging. Must be borg on the brain left over eh?

  Fine. Please read my post under jjrizo's thread. The police were involved in my case. It wasn't just a nut making accusations.

  Perhaps my post might cause you thinking people to re-think. You're playing right into hands and you don't even know it.
