i realized today that i have no friends at all...it's me and my wife and two dogs and three goldfish, thats it's....i'm not too bothered by it but my wife wants to go back just for the friends.....i have de-programed her out of the "matrix" and she now thinks for herself, but she still feels like she needs a spritual side and friends.
i have people at work but we don't hang out.
i've become a a loner.
Try to make new friends by joining same interest clubs, volunteering opportunities at schools, hospitals, city hall, red cross, etc. Be intentional about making new friends. Hey have you tried your block, subdivision, next door neighbors? You have a good excuse to start friendships with them, tell them you were part of this cult that told you to stay away from them because they are evil but that you love them and feel sorry for all of this year of living next to them and not being part of the community. Just a thought.
if it wasn't an extremely late (or extremely early) april fools joke, our friend no room for george seems to have departed......from this website.
apparently falling victim to a devastating love bomb that claimed his ability of thinking for himself and his freedom of heart, mind, body and soul.
i was wondering if maybe in the future he will be on the convention stage in front of a couple thousand people talking about his "experience".
What I noticed is his emphasis on the social aspect of the KH, how good they make him feel (not God, not Jesus) He is lonely ... it reminds me of one of my sisters her only emphasis is what she is going to wear to the next meeting, the next babyshower, the next wedding, etc. her life is so shallow, empty, really!
there are approximately 216,000 babies born every day in the whole entire world.
if every woman every place on earth suddenly stopped conceiving at the same time, it would take 9 months for all the babies in wombs to be born.. .
how many babies would that be by the end of that 9 months?.
Revelation talks of a gospel that will be preached by an angel in the Tribulation period. If you see the order of Jesus' answer in Matthew 24 kind of correspond to Revelation 14. Of course and as usual everything in the bible is about JW according to the WT Crookporation.
this weekend i read the gospel according to matthew and john.. it felt lovely as i was simply learning about jesus and his teachings, which are incredibly easy to understand and which amount to what i feel is a fabulous guide to life.. but what about the old testament... is it just history?
is it important?
should a christian spend too much time reading it?
I love sticking to reading the bible ... I love the "simplicity of the Gospel".
Remember that the Old Statement is the "Bible" that Jesus read. Besides, all the Prophets, Moses and The Law prophecied about Jesus. So in my opinion it is important for Christians to get familiar with the OT. The people that advocates for not reading the OT or considers it passe it is because anti-semitic feelings ... when I read the OT I try to see how those stories apply to my daily living. I like for example to know that a trip that was supposed to take only 11 days it took the Israelites 40 years for murmuring, dissobedience, rebelious, etc etc, gosh I see myself in that story when it comes to my goals or start doing things that I have to do like cleaning the house, doing laundry ... God told Israel that he was going to use stories to teach them ... another thing that I've found useful when reading the OT is to find out how the Jewish or Israelies view certain passages of the OT ... they don't take everything literally they find the teaching in it.
there have been several threads in which the views of the universe provided by the hubble space telescope have been discussed.
i guess this will be another one.
there's a new series being broadcast here in canada on the oasis hd nature channel entitled hubble's canvas.
It is hard to understand GOD in human terms because he is not human ... this is something we tend to forget ... also GOD operates in the Spiritual Realm and we come to believe in him by Faith. We believe what the bible says about HIM creating heavens and earth. We also have the testimony of Jesus, who we as Christians confess is the Son of God. So it is a matter of FAITH, of believing because God says so “without faith it is impossible to please [God]” (Heb. 11:6). “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Christ asked, “When the Son of Man comes, shall He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).
As I said before, God is in the spiritual realm. In order to have faith it is necessary to have the fruits of the spirit ... Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Real faith comes from the Spirit of God—it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. No one can have it without God’s Spirit.
So in my case I go on believing what I believe because I have FAITH.
"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in."
Job 37:18 can you join him in spreading out the skies, hard as a mirror of cast bronze?
Job 9:8 He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.
Isaiah 45:12 It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.
often i wake up in a cold sweat wondering if i'm wrong.
life is short.
i have only a brief time to make a decision.
dad was a great man, great, despite the religion.
he was powerful, tall and intelligent, yet humble and kind.
he was an introvert, and a circuit overseer.
Sorry to hear about your loss.
i am sharing this because i have never pay attention to what peter has said on 1 peter 5:12-13 ... i found this tidbit interesting.

what proof is there that jesus inspected all the religions or the earth in 1919 and then chose the bible students?.
just because the watchtower says in its literature that they were chosen is not proof!.
No proof!
