When she won this last time, she said, "I'd like to thank my God Jehovah." I can't believe how hypocritical the organisation must be over this, coz we weren't even allowed to participate in after-school sports teams due to bad association.
here in oz we have registered clubs - for a membership fee of about $10pa you can join a local club (which is a non-profit organisation for the benefit of its members) and use their facilities - cheap meals at the bistro, cheap drinks and poker (slot) machines, among many other things.
there are (rugby) leagues clubs, (lawn) bowling clubs, workers' clubs, sports clubs, yacht clubs and the one i'm interested in for the purpose of this post: rsl (returned services legion) clubs.
they're like the veteran's associations in the us, whatever their acronym is.
They even told us (when we were frightfully poor and receiving food stamps, i.e., on the dole) that we couldn't go to the only big thrift shop in the area, coz there was an AMVets donation box outside, and the owner of the store helped in a church.

Well, wolfgirl, some time she may. I never thought 2 years ago that I would be posting my reviews here either. But here I am. It takes time to recognize the BS and to learn you dont have to eat it.
I live in hope.

whenever i have conversed with one of jehovah's witnesses, i feel that they are 100% convinced that the wbts is "right".. on this forum, we have many people who were once one of jehovah's witnesses, but now totally reject it.. how did you feel witnessing to people whilst you no longer believed in it, or knew you were about to leave?.
spanner.
Once I knew I was leaving, I didn't go out any more. I just stopped, dead in the water. Cold turkey.
what is your priority?
that is the article that's on page 8 of the feb. km.
notice some quotes.
I always felt such overwhelming guilt when I was in the borg. I'm so glad to have broken free from them.
i changed my topic to this:.
why does france always go against britain and us policies?
should we still consider france as an ally?
France has plenty of direct experience with terrorism.
Very true. I live in France. Perhaps you should tone down your comments. I find it quite strange that people pass judgments and make bold statements when they don't have any real firsthand knowledge of the situation. France is opposed to war in Iraq, just like the majority of people in the UK. Since when does a differing opinion mean that someone is a pain in the ass? Try learning a little tolerance. Or better yet, listen to Joanna's comment up there.
