I am a 7 on a good day and a 2 on a bad day...
shall I average that out?
I am healthy though and I heard that as we age health becomes beauty....
Im banking on that.

i know this has been talked about in the past but im new here..
Returning to the original posters question...
It makes a good social club for misfit people and lonely people who dont fit in with other groups.
Just tread water in service and you can be a "pioneer" (prestige) or an elder (again, viewed as prestigious).
i have several children and my wife and i before i woke up informed the local emergency hospital where we have taken a couple of the kids that we do not wish any blood.
my wife has also informed the local clinic where she takes the kids for small issues and small emergencies the same thing.
i know that here in the state's if a child needs blood the hospital will get a court order.
Thanks for that link Lee. Wow. I guess I had forgotten...just unbelievable.
While they havent retracted that quote above that Lee provided, they have changed the wording in the elders manual concerning those who take blood.
it will obviously make a difference to how jw's obtain their literatrash, they will have to download and print it all themselves before long.. it will make a small difference to the dtod work, they will now refer even genuine questions and interest etc to the site, not taking the opportunity to "witness" on the initial call at all.
this has been happening already to a degree.. the difference i am mainly interested in is the capture of new suckers in to the borg.. we will be able to see when we get 2014's figures, sometime next year, what the rate of increase was over the last ten years.. phizzy the prophet predicts that the rate of increase over the next ten years will not be significantly up.
probably down, but certainly, i feel, not so different from the last ten.. should i be around in ten years to do so, i will wish to ask jw's:.
I dont think it is going to make much of a difference to the public at large.
For JWs however, it has renewed their sense that they are progressive and original.
That will last until they see that the worlds opinion is still as ho hum as ever.

I know you said you are "out" but here is some of the information that Witnesses that are still "in" are using to get around the blood issue.
Its called a Letter Of Understanding
another link to the actual letter

The Society is backstepping away from its former policies on blood very quietly.
do you think they are zealous?.
happy, joyful?.
pessimistic, depressed?.
To me the sheep seem restless and circling the enclosure.
Some are temporarily hyped on the RCs but there seems to be a sense of confusion but hiding it among most.
i hope no one here get's injured when they see this and their jaw hits the floor:.

That song has a lot of rhymy lines in it.
one is:
oo-wee Marie, shake it, shake it for me
apparently that is ok to say in the Kingdom Hall now. On the stage no less.
besides 'walking briskly from door-to-door'.... what advice would fit in well to a jw.
org health tips brochure ?.
Dont forget the lovely exercise to be had hiking 6 blocks in the inner city to a stadium (while wearing dress clothes) for the regional convention~!
this is very good, at least it will be in a few years.
sorry if it's been posted here before already.. it's in the watchtower magazine may 15th, 2014, last page: from our archives: they talk about a public speech held in sao paolo in 1923 where they also distributed the brochure "millions who now live will never die" (pictured in the magazine!).
a quick calculation: 1923 -> 2014, how many people in the world now are 90 years old or more?
Ah, good point Apognophos.
That makes sense.
I have noticed them taking that same tack with the whole "100 years since 1914" also.
They had to acknowledge it or look suspicious. But with all the acknowledging - they really havent said a word.
ETA: By saying they havent said a word - I mean that there hasnt been any depth to their words or any enlightenment.
this is very good, at least it will be in a few years.

So why would they bring that up now?
I would think it would make them look bad and they would NOT want to mention it?
What gives?
