I was unkind & I am deeply sorry
by Dolosus inearly this morning, i was stopped at a service station dealing with a mechanical issue with my motorcycle.
i was approached by 2 young men who pro-offered some of your reading material.
i deeply regret that i was very unkind; in actual fact, i was quite mean in my response to them.

Can God touch those with Alzheimers?
by StopTheTears inmy father was diagnosed with alzheimers disease.. .
before his dementia grew worse he requested to be baptized in jesus name.. .
when i see him and hear him talk now it is nothing less than a miracle from god.

In this case we are talking about an older gentleman with Alzheimers.
Whatever works, I say.

Ray Franz was an Idiot
by vinman inray franz who gave us insight into the gb due to a crisis of conscience was an absolute moron, with absolutely no critical thinking skills whatsoever like all of us have.
i mean, to have a conscience based on some magic man in the sky.. how stupid can you be?
in search of christian freedom?

Best post of the day!

Okay, vinman, sometimes despite good intentions, strategies backfire badly and who is perfect? In your attempt to make a point, you missed by a country mile. And whatever good point you may have wanted to make has been lost. But good on you for saying you'll try harder next time. That's all any of us can do: Try to do better next time.
Ray Franz was above all else a respectful and empathic man. He did not attempt to convert people to his point of view but was cautious in his statements because he knew that most of his listeners had been through the mill with organized religion.
Ray gave as much attention to how he said something as he did to what he said. Unlike some posters on this forum he did not attempt to deliberately provoke outrage for the sake of sitting back and enjoying the conflict. -

Why is my Uncle (JW PO-COBE) and Aunt Cruella suing my parents and grandparents?
by ReligionOfHatred ini heard this is a website where you can ask fellow jehovah's witnesses questions that websites like jw friends will not allow you to post because they don't allow you to speak ill of any elder.
my aunt cruella de ville and uncle jaundice sent my grandpa (he's got dementia and grandma has cancer) a letter saying their going to force grandma and gramps in to selling the land my grandmother located back in the late 1970s, grandma is very smart and saw the potential for their land, she was very gifted seeing things others did not see.
in the 1980s my grandparents went to oregon to check on their daughter who was pregnant, they were appalled by the living conditions cruella was living and she was having to work even though she was heavy with child.. all of this started when my dad ran in to a elder at the grocery store and this elder told my dad that "the reason cruella and jaundice are shunning your inlaws is because their apostates and therefore have the right to shun them.

It takes a very special person to attempt to make amends when they feel they have wronged someone.
Its really nice to meet you Dolosus.

A windy stormy day yesterday blew a lot of leaves around. So after enjoying coffee outside, I skimmed the leaves from my pool. Then I decided to jump in and hang out a while on this beautiful sunny morning.
Now I am home making a late brunch of toasted ciabatta, fresh cut fruit and more coffee.
This is ever so much better use of a morning than putting on a dress and going to listen to a mind numbing talk/Watchtower!

Insights from the field ministry ....
by paradisebeauty inlast week i was invited by a sister to go in the field ministry with her.
i did, because she is one of the 2 people who contacted me since i am not attending the meetings.
and i thought it would be a good opportunity to tell her about some of the things i researched.

I had a similar experience a year ago paradise,
A sister I deeply respect asked me to go on a study. The woman being called on was pretty sharp. She has just broken up with her 7thDay Adventist husband and was/is looking for a religion of her own,
She kept asking questions and the sister kept telling her that her question would be covered in upcoming chapters and to wait.
I sat there remembering back when those were the instructions given during the Service Meeting. Not to answer questions because the book (Bible Teach) is designed in such a way that knowledge builds upon itself and questions get answered in order.
I sat there musing on how I didnt even question that line of reasoning at the time! Now it seems fairly obvious that the Org wants NO thinking on anyones part. Just mindless obedient drones conducting studies.
Smart, thinking people wont tolerate that nonsense and will quit studying. Only future mindless drones in the making will keep going.
Its like an initiation process of sorts isnt it?
When the Bible said God could make the stones cry out, did it mean to turn people in to mindless lumps like stones? Hmm.....a bit of a misapplication of scripture if so!
