So Terry what is Dubs back story?
What is his world view being 81 and an ex minister?
this is a distilled (and from memory) reconstruction of a chat awhile back.
ive dusted it off for today.. my 81 year old ex-baptist minister friend dub and i went to starbucks for coffee and conversation.
dub likes to start conversations with strangers.. today a seminary student caught his eye.
So Terry what is Dubs back story?
What is his world view being 81 and an ex minister?
so im at the meeting after its over and this elder says to me that god needs my voice because he, the elder, feels that my singing is not loud enough.
i did not tell him this, but singing just is not my thing.
he then went on saying how gods people are better singers than "the worlds singers".
looter it sounds to me like this elder knows you have a good voice and wants you to bolster the old team spirit a bit!
even by their own standards, music is Gods gift to man.
what he (man) does with it is free will.
So if they value accuracy, thats what their own Bible teaches.
geesh.
as we all know, the internet is a real game-changer in allowing us to know the truth about the watch tower and its history.
i always had doubts and it was the internet that presented me with the ever-growing number of individuals who were going through a similar struggle.. i give the internet a 9 in my awakening.
what about you?.
i think they are the most boring people on earth.
they are about as exciting as a dead ant..
I think the Org takes ordinary people and makes them boring.
They are desperate to make him look "present" with mankind.
If he isnt then by golly they will draw it and people will think it!
my son just called me and asked me to send down with my daughter who will be visiting, next week,.
some quinua [i konow im spelling it wrong...] he said it got to be real expensive.
up here is in a 12 oz box for like 5 dollars which is highway robery to me.
Nashville has Farmers Markets where the Amish come and sell eggs and fresh milk and cream. Your son might want to try there.
if muslim is supposed to be the religion of peace, jehovah's witnesses has to be the religion of guilt..
I remember one moment of guilt in particular....
there was a workday at the Hall which meant that a few people would work and a ton of people would show up at lunch time with a paltry dish of something and then eat and leave.
I was one of the first ones there that morning with coffee and doughnuts. There wasnt much work for me to do since most of it was on the roof, so I left.
About an hour later two other sisters came to my house wanting to borrow some serving spoons. I was sitting out on my deck enjoying coffee.
I offered them coffee and well.....one thing led to another and none of us made it back to the Hall - neither did the serving spoons.
I remember sitting there is the sun laughing and talking and feeling like I was playing hooky from school and feeling a twinge of guilt.
Now I think of it as time well spent.
christians, should i attend kingdom hall meetings to discreetly "preach" to jws about the real jesus and the lies of the watchtower?.
.
i plan to go undercover and plant seeds into them.. .
I say go ahead Cryto!
Try it. Let us know how it works and share thoughts along the way.
This should be interesting to read along and I wish you well!
has this ever happened to anyone who has been df'd here?
did you walk into a room with a circle of chairs for the whole body of elders?.
shana.
Witches do things in circles too.
so i am the weird case that i still believe in the jehovah's organization.
there are a couple of things that stop me from going.
is there anyone else out there that still believes?
Hi Dewey, nice to meet you.
What country are you from?
