All of you who know about such things...
how much do you think that second video cost to produce?

i was reading this week's study article on remaining loyal to jah.
found an interesting contradiction on shunning.
they cite two experiences.
Even by their own weird reckoning they only used 2 scriptures to back up "Annes" decision. A decision she had to REread to get ready to do something that is against the natural way of things.
Disfellowshipping is so unnatural and they have to constantly remind people of it.
i am a male, born into the jw cult(ure), baptized as a teen, now mid fifties.
most of my life i dreamed of hugging pandas and lions, punctuated at times by nightmares of armageddon or jw drama and politics.
still going through the motions for still-in wife.
Welcome and glad you are here. Take all the time you need and join in wherever you feel comfortable.
You are among real friends here.
witnesses are so anxious, stressed, highly strung..... so much for ones who are supposed to be "the happiest people"..... thoughts?.
As a parent your anxiety level is tremendous as your children reach adolescence.
No sports, no dating,, no college, no experimenting with alcohol, cigarettes or drugs. If that happens, and the wrong elders get involved (and elders will definitely get involved) a parent stands to lose their child through disfellowshipping.
Its a white knuckle life for parents of teens.
so the big a comes, your third in line to be judged by jesus.
he wants to know why you left the organisation.
he also wants to know why jws remained with the org.
I would ask him why part of "the plan" was to be so hard on humans.
if this is true, and we will have to wait and see.
prince could give everything to the watchtower.
so that's his $300 million fortune.
I am thinking he did hand over plenty while alive.
What was strange though was did you see the local KH he "attended"? It looked like a set for a 60s movie.
The chairs and windows and colors look like there hasnt been a remodel in a "generation" (lol I am having fun with that term today) or so. So did his money immediately get funneled upward? Because you sure cant see that any of it was used in the local KH.
in public talks we would always hear about how we knew god's word was the truth because it was simple and clear.
how god revealed the real truth to uneducated and ordinary people.
the problem is that in reality something being simple or clear isn't an indicator of it's truthfulness at all.
Well we can refer to the overlapping generation teaching....
one example of simple and clear!
(or not)
if this is true, and we will have to wait and see.
prince could give everything to the watchtower.

I am wondering if it is possibly a chance he didnt have a will?
The reason I wonder is because the Org seems to be circling this story like a shark in the water. LIke they smell potential.
Are they prepping his sister for a handout saying its "what Br Nelson would have wanted"?
If there was a will, everyone would know by now wouldnt they?
"we are saddened to hear about the death of prince rogers nelson, who was baptized as one of jehovah’s witnesses in 2003," the church said in a statement obtained by people.
the church said that prince "found fulfillment as a witness and in sharing his faith with others.

They have a "proviso" in the statement.
the part about not having details as to cause of death.
it is obviously a statement drafted by the legal department.
when i was an all-in, younger, somewhat uber-dub - i envisioned the governing body as spending 16 to 18 hours a day at the bethel library, with their noses in the bible and associated research books.
sky-j was propelling his holy spirit directly at them, maybe opening the book to the right page or paragraph, and zap, new light.. when i learned that these dudes only met on wednesday mornings, for as little as 10 minutes, and spent the rest of their time managing and traveling, it was quite a letdown.. anyone have such thoughts of our guardians of doctrine?.
They were much better off when they were "unknowns". Then a persons imagination and faith could imbue these men with whatever godlike qualities a person wanted to imagine they had.
It is a common tactic for political people to try to portray themselves as "down home. just like the average person" traits.
This seemed to work well when tried with religious leaders such as the Pope, so the Governing Body was advised (?) to try it.
It has backfired.
I am not sure of all the reasons why but it has and now they cant really back away from it can they?
