  ive been looking at an interesting site by a woman who receives transmissions from aliens called the zeta.

  apparently the world as we know it will end may 15th when planet nibiru / marduk passes so close to our earth that an apocalypse will occur.

  it last passed by when the noachian flood occurred.

  Alternative pets?

  well, i don't have the most active or exciting life, so i've been thinking about getting a pet to liven things up a little around the homestead.

  dogs?

  too much commitment, also high ownership expenses.

  We have a pet snail named Gary (the kids are spongebob fans). He's (or she's?)pretty cool, very low maintenance, and fun to watch.

  I don't recommend goats, personally I find them very annoying. Our neighbors had a goat and it kept getting its head stuck in the woven fence at 5:00 am (the grass is always greener on the other side), he made alot of noise until someone got him unstuck. He got out a few times and ripped all of my crocus bulbs out of the ground and chewed on a few other plants.

  Thank you all for your support and words of advice. I appreciate it and have taken it to heart. I'm sorry that many of you have had to deal with gossip as well: rebel, cicatrix, big tex, hilary It seems to be the common situation when people leave the org.

  I hope that if there are any lurking JWs they will read this thread and see that rumors they hear about ones who leave, are not always or are, most of the time, Untrue. And the reason why JWs would start gossip like that to begin with. Which is as expatbrit put it :

  It's sickening that they have to try and blacken your character because they can't accept the simple fact of your having rational reasons for not wanting to be a JW.

  BTW, my son is ten years old. The reason this rumor is circulating is because I quit going to meetings and am an 'evil apostate' and they want to dig up some type of dirt on me. I guess they had to resort to making up something. They are nothing but backbiting gossips. I wonder what else is circulating.

  They have to make those who leave, appear as bad and evil as they are WT says they are.

  LB, yes I recognize exactly what they are! Is your son still in the org?
