Yea, that would make sense. Thats why I wanted to put it out there, to see if somebody seen/heard of this date. This book covered Taze, Judge, and Knorr. It hit alot of topics throughout the years. Mostly on Russell, the ' Miracle Wheat ' scandal. His divorce. And his run in with Baptist pastor Rev. J.J. Ross. wich resulted in Russells perjury, Twice! Lots more. peace paulnotsaul

Hi All. At church today I found this book in the library. Its title ' So What's the Difference? ' by Fritz Ridenour. Its a biblical comparision of christianity with major religions and cults. This book was published about 1966. Anyway, in the 'CULT' section of the book the author talks about the history of JW's. He created this chart in which it shows JW's system of salvation. Under JW's set dates for prophesied events it shows 1914, 1975, and 2075? Next to this date it says: End of 7th 1000-year-day of man's existence. Early autumn, probable time of the close of the millennium, people judged and given eternal life on renewed earth or annihilation. Has anyone ever seen/heard of this date and explanation? Theres so much more of this book I'd like to share. Maybe another time, soon. peaceALL paulnotsaul

Did anyone else catch the typo in the opening part of the article? When giving backround about his mother it said ' the man in which whom HE would marry '. Anyhow, never heard of him. R.I.P. peaceAll paulnotsaul

Are YOU a Believer, Atheist, Agnostic, Active JW or WHAT?

I was born a JW. About a year ago I converted to Christianity. The Judgemental Hate I learned as a JW is so far from what I learn now. It doesn't even come close to the Christian Non-Judgemental Love I experience. If JW's taught Christianity, they took Christ right out of it! I do enjoy hearing all sides though. peaceAll paulnotsaul

You don't remember those delicious beeners? Thats what my dad called them. I had to have no less than two of them. A half frozen chocolate puddin and a lemon lime soda to wash it all down. Always the high lite of the program. Lunch. By the second half of the program I would be all gassed up and waiting for an applause or a song to let it out. Man, those farts sure stunk. What the hell did they put in those things? peaceAll paulnotsaul

Everyone has an opinion
by sizemik inin the modern world everybody wants to be "politcally correct".
but what they feel others want to hear.. in a way .
it's a kind of deception.. well .

The more we evolve as a people the more senitive and sugar coated we become as a society. I never thought growing up I would see this day of 'political correctness'. What happened to the honest in your face tongue in cheek realness in conversation of the days of old. Everyones so dam afraid of offending someone. At my job the bluntness of honesty is refreshing. I've noticed sometimes this is a class/social thing. The more higher up you are education/status the more 'politically correct' you start to talk/act. Its sad that some people can't handle the realness and truth in conversation without having their presious feelings hurt. BOO-HOO! Good topic sizemike. I enjoy your topics and replies. Even if I don't agree with you, your always the calm voice of reason. peaceAll paulnotsaul

MrsJones5, I can accept that answer. At one time maybe not. My wife helped me to open my eyes to new concepts. I used to ask her why she watched such shallow programs on T.V. She told me because she didn't want to think but to be entertained. How could I argue with that? I am thankful for her. Cause in all my complexity, I became the simpleton. peaceAll paulnotsaul

Our family celebrates everything but Halloween. The church we attend admits their origins. But if you read Roman chapter 14 it goes into detail about this topic. I personally bought a book on the history of christmas. Lots of pagan rituals. But with in reason all things that are celebrated to the glory of God are justifiable. I don't believe Jesus was born Dec. 25. The Catholic faith does. But for us its a day to celebrate the fact that our savior was born. We like to keep the christ in christmas. As far as Easter. This is a day picked to celebrate the ressurection of Jesus. And where I attend this is a whole month of activites surrounding Jesus. As a Christian I celebrate the Christ aspect of it. But if your a Pagan maybe your reasons are different. I DON'T JUDGE! peacetoAll paulnotsaul
