The JDub cult claims they have no hierarchy but that is a complete lie! I remember the service overseer of my hall used to throw big fancy dinners for the elite of bethel and the district overseers and anyone with special status. He used his connections that he made to get out of being removed as an elder when his own wife wrote a letter to the society claiming he was abusive and a monster at home. Which he was. We all knew about his fits of anger. They responded to her basically telling her to be submissive and a good little elder wife who needs to know her place and shut the fuck up. She did. He is still an elder.

Again thanks for all of your support and kind words. It means a lot to me. Being kicked out of my own house at 18 forced me to grow up fast. I am making traveling the world one of my favorite pastimes. I was in France this past summer, and I am going to visit my family in Germany for the Christmas markets in December. I have been to Turkey and am planning a visit to Egypt in 2018. Escaping the JDub cult has opened my eyes to see how freaking big the world is! Get out and live!
Hi wingcommander I know exactly how you feel. I have been sexually active since I was very young. Umm, are we allowed to discuss this here? IDC but around the time I got baptized I had a phase when I was feeling guilty for masturbating and having sex and it made me stop and repress my sexuality. I almost went insane. I think I lasted about 2 weeks before I had to find release. I literally could not go without it. I told my mother that I want to seek professional help without telling her the real reason and that I wanted to speak with a psychologist but she would not let me because she said the psychologist will "try to take me away from Jehovah." I did not push the issue but I am sure that if I went to a psychologist they would have told me to get out of this cult. So mother was right.
I know from reading the comments that some of you are still not ok with my bisexuality and thats ok with me. I get it. But maybe someday you will understand that I am not harming anybody and that being bi is a part of who I am. I do not go out seeking love with strangers in bars if that is what you are thinking. I actually have a steady boyfriend right now who is fine with me exploring my sexuality with another girl if that comes up. Again I do not go out around town looking for sex with random girls. Usually it is among a group of friends, someone I already know that I hook up with. My last tryst was with a friend I grew up with in school, and was while she and I both had boyfriends. It happened so naturally. The attraction was overwhelming and we had a tension building up since high school but neither of us acted on it because I would shy away because I was still a JDub at the time. Like I said it was the judicial committee that helped to shape my decision and finally explore that aspect of my sexuality that was repressed.

I remember when I was still going to meetings how JDubs with special status, like pioneer, aux pioneer, ministerial servant blah blah blah, would look down at you if you were "just" a publisher. But it went deeper than that! Sisters would judge my "spirituality" if my skirt was above the knee or below the knee and how much above the knee and how much below the knee. If I wore a skirt that was down to my ankles then suddenly Sister Backstabber would talk to me and ask how I was doing. If my skirt was above the knee she would ignore me as if I was not there even when I came over to say hi. It is not like I ever wore a miniskirt to the meeting! And then when the secretary would find out how many hours I did in service each month he would either be friendly or not friendly to me. I remember one time I filled out 15 hours on the slip to see what would happen. Suddenly I was invited by Brother Zealot secretary and his family to dinner. But if my time was below 5 hours then I was almost shunned. I even got marked by a whole family because I gave their daughter a usb stick with music on it they did not like. If I gave an answer at the meeting then I must be spiritual. If I did not answer then I was not spiritual. If I shook my head in agreement with everything the speaker was saying then I was spiritual. If I sat there quietly and thought about what he was saying then I was not spiritual. Tell me your stories. I know you all experienced this.

by mac n cheese inthe 2015 annual meeting, specifically, part 1, right about minute 27, has anthony morris emphasizing that "you're better off reading one chapter (of the bible) and really absorbing it" than just reading the whole thing "as a challenge".
while i agree with the the whole idea of meditating on anything you read, it was doing this very thing that brought up so many unanswered questions.
i also came to the constant realization that the jws did not have a clue about what the bible really said.

Before I got baptized I was forced to read the whole Bible by my father and because I wanted to make them happy I did. I read it from cover to cover in less than a year. Reading it was on the best things I did because now I have no doubt that the Bible is nothing but a book written by misogynists, narcissists, bigots, goat herders high on power trips and abuse and that the old testament is nothing like the new testament. Finally, this book of bloodshed and insanity ends with a man who was high as a kite, eating scrolls, cutting his beard into little pieces and writing the craziest fantasy ending of all time. I am sorry if I seem overly emotional about this topic but it is very dear to me because I am close to my family in Europe. I did not even read the article and I can not say how much of it is true or not so I will send this link to my family and see if they can verify it.
My family on this side of the pond are mostly JDubs and shun me as if I do not exist. I have gotten over it mostly but it still hurts. My Dfing has proven who are my true family and friends. So I did not come here to talk much about off topic topics but this one is something that affects me personally. It is so easy for someone in the comfort of their own home behind their computer sitting there with the alarm system on to say that every European country should open their borders to everyone who claims to be a refugee but I guarantee that sentiment always changes when they are personally affected by it.
I lived with my cousins in Germany in 2010 before this whole thing started. I am very much a big hearted person and I love to help people. It is in my nature to be this way. So when there are real legitimate refugees then I would love to help and even maybe donate something to help them. But this whole situation, the way it suddenly appeared raises many questions which makes me think if this is a plot to break down the homogeneous European society. I mean the war in Syria, in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan has been going on for many years now but only now suddenly everyone decides to come all at once like they got an open invitation? And why are these people traveling 4000 miles to Europe when they can go 600 miles to Turkey or Qatar or Saudi Arabia or UAE where they already speak Arabic or Farsi and have similar customs and the same religion? Europe is a Christian and secular continent with a variety of different languages and culture that are nothing like where these refugees are coming from. And also why is that 90% of these refugees are men? Where are the whole families? Why did Saudi Arabia reject taking more than a few hundred Syrians but offer to give Germany over 2 Billion euros to build 200 Mosques? It makes no sense to me. And why is Russia the one country that is really going after ISIS in Syria while the USA and Saudi Arabia are backing the rebels to overthrow Assad? And why does Germany and Sweden not simply verify the identity of these refugees while in their own countries instead of letting them travel illegally thousands of miles across Europe and then claim to have no paperwork with them? Again something is not right with this whole picture. And it has my family in Europe asking the same questions as I. As my aunt says we should not allow our altruism to blind our reasoning and sense. Sensationalism or not this is a crisis of epic proportions.

Gawd it would be awesome if they took away the status of the Jdub WT cult! I am taking classes in finance right now and we are learning about the tax code. A lot of these churches claim to be exempt through small tax loops in the law. The JDub cult should never be allowed tax exempt status for the basis that they do zero charity work. Their charity work is only for insiders and sometimes when they see a good opportunity for a news bite for publicity they will do it. Maybe someone can look into getting them off the tax exempt list? -

I have a lot of family in Sweden and Germany. Actually probably half of my family live there now that I think of it. They are not JDubs and I do whatsapp with my cousins and aunts and nieces. This exact topic comes up almost everyday. So my one cousin lives just outside of Malmo. She told me that it is getting really bad and the native Swedish do not feel comfortable in their own country. Rape is the biggest concern since rape is exploding over there. Even in small villages because the politicians wants to put these immigrants everywhere there is space. So they will often find an old school or gym hall and put like 500 of them in a town that only has 200 people.
Two or three months ago a 14 year old girl was raped by a Somalian dog in a small town and the police only gave him a light sentence of community service or something. My aunt says that it is very difficult to own a gun unless you are a hunter and then it is very regulated so almost nobody has a gun. But it is ironic cuz there is a lot of gun violence in the cities by the immigrant gangs. For some reason they always have guns. So now the people in their village are joining hunting clubs so they can get permits for guns.
Now in Germany it is very similar but getting almost as bad. Also there it is very difficult to own guns but people are trying to get guns anyways and say it is for hunting like in Sweden. When they say hunting they mean hunting the rapists and this is good because the police are overwhelmed. And just like in Sweden the police are not allowed to report the crimes of the immigrants because the politicians feel it will prove the right political parties right about this topic and give them more supporters. Bottom line the people are scared to death. I fear for my cousins and nieces who are younger than me.
