My neighbor accross the street from me is a "born again christian" she has that I am so good attitude, when I first met her one of the first things she said was what church do you go to? I said no church and she invited me to hers. I said no thank you and two years later she still "shuns" me.
Her little daughter used to play with my daughter and then all of the sudden she says her daughter is too old to play with my daughter. The daughter didn't say this the mom did.

when i was in my congregation i found it to be a very selfish self spirited congregation,i also found many witnesses to be very easily offended and hyper sensitive oh and i forgot the gossip ohh the gossip was horrendous, this hyper sensitivity really got on my nerves because it was starting to rub off on me and i started to get paranoid and easily offended and i was never like that b4.. and what pi@@ed me off was the fact how brothers on the stage said how loving our congregation was and what a good reputation it was known to have.. but now i have left and im back to my down to earth happy personality.
It was a pedophile's paradise when I was there. The Abuser is dead now, but the elder who new about the problem is still there.
i was raised with a bookbag in my hand.
every saturday and sunday our family was out in service.i vacation, temporary and auxillary and regular pioneered.
i never enjoyed it but did it because i was supposed to do it.

As long as a "sister" doesn't wear them with one of those wrap around skirts out in service on a windy day. Who would Know? lol . i came across this clip from an assembly where a co 'reasons' with the audience on whether christians should wear beards 'in this time of the end'.
while not containing any reasoning at all it could also be concluded from this clip that the wbts doesn't like you to wear sandals either.

Queenie, My Dad at the time was in his fifties with a big gut and these skinny white legs. He was a janitor at the time and sometimes the shoes would really be dirty, one time he even wore his cutoff yellow dress slacks to the store and my mom lost it. It was so funny. At least my step Mom has managed to get him to wear sneakers. lol.

i have found that jw's are really not as "seperate" from the world as they claim to be.. as a jw i was told we had to be "seperate" from the world.
you know, get drunk, use drugs, abuse our families, cheat on taxes, lie, be greedy, etc.. but from what i have seen in my old congregtion, and the stories i have read here and on other boards, this statement isn't really true.
How many people could be a perfect witness and do everything they are suppose to do? I know one of my relatives worked for a witness for two years and never got a W2 from them. The "brother would take money out of my relatives check for taxes but never reported it to IRS. He was pocketing the extra money. Because the guy was a Jw my relative just let it go until the IRS got on their behinds.

My Dad used to wear his old kingdum Hall dress shoes with tube socks with the stripes, and cutoff jean shorts to the mall. Should christian's wear that? It was so embarrassing especially when we would see other witnesses. I wonder if he "stumbled" anyone with his fashion sense?

I thought they were just told the net was bad, or wait a minute that's next months KM. So if you pioneer or spend so many hours in"service" it's ok to sell things on the net?
