DID ANYONE EVER ENJOY GOING IN SERVICE?
by minimus ini was raised with a bookbag in my hand.
every saturday and sunday our family was out in service.i vacation, temporary and auxillary and regular pioneered.
i never enjoyed it but did it because i was supposed to do it.

As long as a "sister" doesn't wear them with one of those wrap around skirts out in service on a windy day. Who would Know? lol . I wore one of those skirts and it was windy and I was just glad I wore a slip. Hey everyone have a great day, thanks Queenie I needed a little laugh, this pedophile thing has really been hard on me.

Should Christians wear sandals?
by dmouse ini came across this clip from an assembly where a co 'reasons' with the audience on whether christians should wear beards 'in this time of the end'.
while not containing any reasoning at all it could also be concluded from this clip that the wbts doesn't like you to wear sandals either.
oh, and jesus was a cross dresser.

Queenie, My Dad at the time was in his fifties with a big gut and these skinny white legs. He was a janitor at the time and sometimes the shoes would really be dirty, one time he even wore his cutoff yellow dress slacks to the store and my mom lost it. It was so funny. At least my step Mom has managed to get him to wear sneakers. lol.

Are JW's really seperate from the world?
by Andyman ini have done alot of posting on different boards since i started on the internet.
i have found that jw's are really not as "seperate" from the world as they claim to be.. as a jw i was told we had to be "seperate" from the world.
you know, get drunk, use drugs, abuse our families, cheat on taxes, lie, be greedy, etc.. but from what i have seen in my old congregtion, and the stories i have read here and on other boards, this statement isn't really true.

How many people could be a perfect witness and do everything they are suppose to do? I know one of my relatives worked for a witness for two years and never got a W2 from them. The "brother would take money out of my relatives check for taxes but never reported it to IRS. He was pocketing the extra money. Because the guy was a Jw my relative just let it go until the IRS got on their behinds.

My Dad used to wear his old kingdum Hall dress shoes with tube socks with the stripes, and cutoff jean shorts to the mall. Should christian's wear that? It was so embarrassing especially when we would see other witnesses. I wonder if he "stumbled" anyone with his fashion sense?

Email from a friend's mother
by Jourles inwow, i was just forwarded an email from a good friend of mine who recently moved away from where i live.
he was telling me that his mother sent this to him after he expressed concern about the pedophile issue.
he couldn't believe that she basically attacked him over this and that she defended the issue so strongly.

This is the kind of parent a pedophile in the congregatation would love. She doesn't believe it could possibly happen and doesn't even want to admit it has ever happened. What if one of her own children or Grandchild told them someone in the cong abused them sexually? She would probably not believe the child. The pedophiles in the congregation are still going to molest, it's not just going to stop. They will just be more careful in picking out their next victim. Boy this makes me sick.
