I was spanked through out my jw child hood, not one swat, but several at a time on my bare bottom with a leather belt, I don't do it to my kid, there was a point, where it didn't hurt anymore and simply one day turned around and said to my dad, are you finished? He didn't spank me again, but he did smack me across the face once in a public park, when I called him an asshole, when I was about 16.

by Nowhere ini had a conversation with an active witness from the usa lately.
and when talking about child upbringing he stated that some children need a spank sometimes.
of course i was upset because of that, and i didn't thought witnesses was that stupid.

How Do You Unwind?
by Scully inlately, i've found listening to my "simpsons" cds while i'm driving home from work to be very helpful in de-stressing.
they always make me laugh, and it's far less depressing than listening to the news on the radio while i'm driving.. i've also been known to have bubble baths by candle light with a good relaxing cd playing (i have one that's of thunderstorms which is one of my favorites).
glass of wine optional.

My Therapist Must Think I'm Absolutely Nuts!
by Swan inevery week i go in and tell my therapist these fantastic stories about the religion i was raised in!
i think he believes me, but then when i think about it, it sounds too fantastic to be true.
he must think i'm absolutely insane.

Jehovah's Witnesses have similar convictions in our faith, only we direct our efforts into more peaceful pursuits.
Raping young children is hardly peacefule, tearing familys apart is hardly peaceful, letting a child die because of no blood transfusion is hardly peaceful. And finally disfellowshiping people for protecting children is hardly peaceful, JW's are not about peace.

i respect bill and what he has accomplished, but i believe that attempts to control the march and the marchers, are misplaced -- even damaging for victims of abuse -- who have been controlled enough!.
the last thing victims of abuse need is to be told to keep up appearances.

Mike did you ever contact him about this? Actually Noon is a more affective time for a march, this is from a seasoned marcher, put whatever you want on your sign, I think your reading more into it then there is, he didn't say you had to, he said he prefered it.

Mike Bill never said you had to wear any certain type of clothing, it was a suggestion, I wouldn't myself if I could, no matter what anyone said, besides the fact I don't own a JW type suit. Wear what you want, and go, you begged for money to get you there, and now your turning around, are you for real or a thief?
