Finally sharing my story!

for those who have not met me my name is michelle.

(aka.mortons68)thank-you walter for the post earlyer last week for welcoming me.i have been wanting to do a post to introduce myself,but have not had the guts to tell my story.for one,i am very new to the computer , two, i was not sure about opening my life to complete strangers,and three ,my spelling and grammer is not that great at all.

WOW! What can I say? I cried like a baby. You did warn me to get the kleenex. You brought so many memories for me. Oh yes the fridge! I think we were the first ones to get one. It so hard to look back at the child I was and the way we were. The innocence. I loved people, I loved life, and now I wonder sometimes who iam. Just a great story. THank you so much for sharing that with me. I wish all my our memories where that good. I do remember giving you my old clothes. I used to get clothes from other people too. That was more fun than buying it.

okay...so i'm invited to a baby shower for my daughter-in-law which will most likely be attended by myriads upon myriads of jw's.

i won't go into the nasty details...but they've been married four years now and have another little daughter...their wedding was boycotted by most jw's because she was not baptized yet (but grew up a jw)...and my son was.

so every since the wedding fiasco...they have been pretty much shunned by the jw's...and attend meetings infrequently.

ask them if they heard what happened with the dreadful "vicki boer vs watchtower" case. This could bring on some good conversation. Then say "so glad i will never have to deal with them"

My JW Friends reaction to the Vicki Boer press release

i forwarded the press release to my jw friend yesterday afternoon and we talked about later that evening when i saw her.

i could see that she was confused and somewhat bewildered.

she first wanted to know more details about the case itself and when i supplied them, she became even more confused.

my grandmother never believed that her own son would abuse his daughter (vicki, me). She called me a liar and much more. Even when she came to the trial and heard the elders go into details about the abuse, she still would not believe me. Sometimes people just choose not to believe. But we should be so glad that we are not like that.

i just got off the telephone with scott boer, vicki boer's husband and before that vicki.

her honour, justice anne molloy, has just ruled on the legal cost issue in the boer case.

get this harsh ruling to the media...pronto!!

go to your search engine and enter newspapers....it'll give you a ton of 'em....start clicking, emailing them a copied and pasted version of the canadian justice's decision against vicki boer in her case....get the word out....also, do the same regarding the tv news media...cnn, larry king, 20/20, 60 mins., 48 hrs., etc.....flood them with emails.... .

Thank you for your outpouring of support; it is good to know we are not alone facing this organization. You have both Vicki and my permission to contact any media outlet you want. We are leaving it in your hands as I try and nurse vicki through this. She feels that she has let you down by not winning a clean victory for other abuse victims. We are sorry............our biggest worry is that other victims will be silenced by fear ............So lets give the Watchtower the exposure that they fear........and expose their calous nature.

When Iam feeling a little less like puking I will give more comments on my feelings.

I wanted to say that I did not accept the 20,000 because my legals cost were more than that at the time, and my lawyer advised me not too because it did not make financial sense to take it, pay him and my other exspenses and still owe. It was still too early to accept.

I also was not aware if the origional offer was less that what was won in court, that I would have to pay for both sides. Who knows theses things?!

5th estate show on in french right now!

the 5th estate program that was on earlier in english, is now on in french.

my neighbours called and told me i was on tv.

the documentary was callled "spiritual shepards" in english and "pedophiles in the jehovahs witness church" in french.

If you call cbc in canada, they will direct you to someone who is responsible for selling the videos. I hope this helps. I think the show is airing so many times because of its nomination for a gemini award.
