From what I understood, the perpetrator was inside the building, he was filmed through a window when shooting. The police heard a gun shot on the first floor and when they arrived there they found a body, and they thought that was the attacker. They assumed it because that was the last shot fired.

This is a tragedy. I officially left the JWs about 7 years ago and do not read much about the religion anymore. This event moved me in a very unexpected way. I have JW family.
I don't care what the GB will do with it. It is a horrendous event and JWs probably could not defend themselves. To the best of my knowledge, in most European countries most people do not own guns. In the time of such an event you run or find a place to hide. According to witnesses there were 12 shots fired. It probably took less than 1 or 2 minutes to kill 7 people and the time for a reaction was very limited.
My condolences to all people affected by this horrific event.
I hope no more will die due to blood issues.
