in poland, we created a map of ex-jws (and their friends ;)) to find former friends from the organization or to contact someone living close to them.
many people found each other after many years outside of the organization thanks to this tool.
It's in my first post:
"Write me an email including information as these: a city/town you live in, your name (or a nickname), the way you would like to be contacted e.g. your phone number or e-mail. The information you provide along with your location will appear on the map. My e-mail address: [email protected] " 😆

Wow! Searril, great 😃 i am happy to hear this. Yes, that's the idea: to find old friends or to help people in crisis. Maybe you will find someone you know there 😆

Oh! Yes, that's right :) There are many active ex-es here. They are thinking all the time how to help other people that are still trapped in the Tower (Watchtower), I truly admire their efforts :)

In Poland, we created a map of ex-JWs (and their friends ;)) to find former friends from the organization or to contact someone living close to them. Many people found each other after many years outside of the organization thanks to this tool. We think this is something very useful and we would like to show this tool to you. As you can see there are mainly Polish people (not only in Poland but in other countries as well) although it is changing nowadays.

A couple of months after my disassociation my uncle contacted me via this map - he found me although I didn't put my surname there - I just marked myself on the map in my city of origin and put my name and one of my email addresses (the one without my real surname). He knew that was me. He contacted me under a false name because he was so scared - he had woken up at that time and had no one to talk to. He was feeling very alone. At that period of his process of awakening, he was afraid of calling me on the phone. That's why I am so excited about this map. Thanks to it I could be of great help for my uncle.

hi all.. it's being a while that i don't share in the forum.
after moving to another country and finding a job, i asked my congregation in my country to send my publishing card here.
once i did it, i stopped attending meetings.

if you remember, i've been posting here my subsequent steps from a regular pioneer and ms at the beginning of this year to a rank-and-file publisher after stepping down as ms two months ago.. during these months, i've been through a difficult way.
but after every step, i could feel freer and better.
i've met a person outside the wt that has changed my life forever and i have experienced a freedom of thought and an inner peace like never before.. however, i knew that staying in my hometown would make my fading very difficult.

i've been hanging around her for a while.
this is the third attempt at my 'hello'.
i'm going to tell you of a family i knew of when growing up as a jw.
she was a solo mother who had 2 daughters and these 2 daughters were absolutely stunning both physically and personailty wise.
i remember thinking at the time how commendable it was that such beautiful looking women would choose to stay in the organisation.
Peter I agree with your post. There are exJW, who live with quilt complex, they don't join exjw forums to receive support... I woke up 2 years ago (after reading S. Hassan "Combatting Cult Mind Control") but was not ready to leave at the time. I was frightened, I was alone with my knowledge (at the time I was afraid of apostates and their websites). I decided to blend in... I was attending meetings, "proclaiming God's Word", meeting with JW young ones... Every time I met them, there was the thought: "If I told you what I really thought you wouldn't smile at me, you wouldn't be so nice, you would look at me with disgust" in my mind.
After a year of trying to be one of them with my awareness I came to the conclusion that I coudn't bear it any more.Thanks to that year I know I won't come back to JW. NEVER ever in my life.
So I left that org with strong belief that this was the best thing I could do!! Guilt? No! Jehovah's voice in my mind? No! The impression that Jehovah is looking at me from Heaven? No! Satan? What does this word mean? :P
I consider this attitude as one of my biggest treasures. No quilt any more. What a relief!
