The Watchtower's Real Crisis

when discussing the watchtowers financial problems, i've generally been of the opinion that they probably are not in a real financial crisis.

i've come to believe that money may be something of an issue, but its wrapped up in a much larger problem.

this came to me this morning when reading about the annual meeting.. i think the society's leadership is just plain out of ideas.

The GB leadership needs to make a request of the rank and file about their speculations of the end time scenario. Since God isn't inspiring those at the top, to foster new ideas, then maybe some of the pee-ons on the bottom are getting the download. Have these letters sent in just like the letter writing campaign to the Russian government.

The originality would be limited because the meeting curriculum seeks to make clones of the writing department. It's just a school that wants you to answer what the text book says. The text book is not the bible, its the supplemental publications.

They need a think tank. Are you up for the challenge?

Stupid, stupid nonsense in the October JW broadcast

so in the october jw broadcast, there is a "morning worship" segment in which g. jackson goes to great lengths to explain how the term "those taking the lead" are not "leaders".. the terms are exactly equivalent, of course, but jackson, with a wink & smirk, pats himself on the back for his own cleverness on how different they really are.it's just so bizarrely absurd.. imagine if such tortured reasoning were applied to other areas..... -------------------------------------.

restaurant manager: i'm sorry, the only position we have open is for dishwasher.

applicant: that's insulting!

G. Jackson wants to make sure absolute loyalty of the friends is directed at the GB and not toward a local elder noticing trouble in paradise. "Wait on Jehovah" is the popular line if you're disgruntled.

In ancient times it was the prophets who were disgruntled and they made a big stink about it. They either caused change in the hearts of the leadership or in most cases were killed for speaking against that leadership. When the leadership refused to listen to outside criticism, God just burned his .org to the ground. This is where the current system may be headed.

Someone mentioned in the watchtower study that it was weird that the artist chose blond hair for one of the babies on page 5. The two babies are supposed to be Esau and Jacob. Esau was said to have a red look which could mean he had red hair. This would explain the brown/red haired baby in Abraham's arms. Then who's the blond baby in Rebekah's arms? Both Rebekah and Isaac are both brunet. Jacob should have come out brunet or bald. There is no mention of him being a different color. The wiki page on Esau says his brother Jacob was called "Tam" which means "relatively perfect man". Either the artist is a racist or he is playing a practical joke and is one of us.

i've seen comments by some on leah's expose on scientology: aftermath.

she actually won an emmy for this show.

rumor is that she might take on jehovah's witnesses in season 3. .

I've just passed this on to my circle of friends who are still in but seriously doubt the multitude of doctrine. We're in it for family and friends. They got back to me real quick and were so exited. They couldn't believe this day had come. We've all been watching Leah's show on Scientology.

If You Question The Governing Body, You're Like Korah

anyone who questions the governing bodys authority is labelled as an apostate and almost always they bring up the story of korah and his revolt against moses.. watchtower august 1st, 2002, the article loyally submit to godly authority paragraphs 8-15.. https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2002563.

in not so subtle hint, the gb likens themselves to moses, and those who disagree with the gb are korah.. paragraph 15 is actually quite damaging to the gb's argument though:.

it was so unnecessary for all those people to lose their lives.

The sons of Korah were proven wrong when the earth opened up and swallowed them. Coincidence or divine judgment?

The present day apostates were proven wrong when a fire appeared above the heads of the GB. Since that is not happening then the Helper is not with them.

The Deep Things of Jehovah(tm). What are they?

If they really had the true "Deep things of God" people would be flocking to this organization. It would take another Jesus-like person to unify the whole of Christendom to which there are 1000's of denominations now. I guess that would be the 2nd coming. If Jesus did come back in the flesh all of these church leaders would try to disfellowship, shun or kill him to keep the control over their flock.

Has anyone, who still believes in one way or another, had scriptures pop out at them that proves the governing body wrong on certain subjects? It seems they prefer to follow the Law of the OT and ignore what Jesus taught.

GB Samuel Herd on "Angels and Women"

i find it interesting that samuel herd (as co) promoted the book angels and women in his talk "fear of giants".

he called it a fascinating book, once you pick it up you cant put it down without reading it from cover to cover!

he also mentions that russell wrote the foreword of the book and that it can be found in the gilead library.. .

Thanks for providing that link to Herd's talk Jaydee. I find it strange that he remembered the title wrong and called it "Women and Angels". He sounded quite fascinated with the story and knew a great deal about the societies involvement with it. I think he said the title wrong deliberately. He knew people would try to do search for it on the internet. They would come up empty handed with the search engine if they listed it in that order back then. He's probably thinking, "If you want to read it you have to sign up for Bethel service to get your hands on it."

JWs MUST Accept The Watchtower Teachings EVEN When They Are Wrong!

isn't it unbelievable that a jehovah's witness must accept whatever the organization says or they can be disfellowshipped??

unless they tell you that their understanding has changed, you cannot believe anything unless they say it's ok. .

many years ago i questioned them about their ridiculous view that whenever the word "heart" was mentioned, it was a literal blood filled organ.

If it was in ancient times that would be a prophet. Maybe a few here are prophets sent by God. The GB should be watching this website if they want to be directed by Jehovah.
