Just remember, it's not just the parent's fault it's also the three elders that interview the baptismal candidate. Those three elders decide if the person is qualified and understands what they are getting into with the baptism. The organization trains those elders. They do not think independently. They think as one mind with the organization. The fault lies with those in Warwick, NY USA.

JW Lawyer in Norway uses "theocratic warfare" to conceal the org's controlling language!
by BoogerMan inin the org's vocabulary, the term "independent thinking" is applied pejoratively to any jw who thinks & reasons for themselves.
the org's lawyer knew exactly what he was doing in court when he voiced his carefully prepared words:.
"watchtowers lawyer anders ryssdal compares jehovah’s witnesses’ baptism to the norwegian state church’s confirmation of 15-year-olds, arguing that their baptism is no different.

It sounds like Eric Wilson does not want to be preached to in the comments section. Apparently he is the only one allowed to preach on his Youtube channel.
Don't forget he's still a JW at heart. Maybe you are branded as a "voice of strangers" which was drilled into him when he was an elder. He only wants praise directed at him in the comments section.

They're making it up as they go along. Also, they were not divinely appointed to be God's representative in this day and age. A true appointment would be likened to a Damascus road event with Paul. To my recollection no one in the Bible Students or JW's had a direct conversation with Jesus on a special appointment. Everything that comes out of the mouth of "those that take the lead" should be taken with a grain of salt. Every time they promote a prediction that never comes to pass the whole organization is guilty of presumptuousness. King Saul fell into the sin of presumptuousness after he refused to follow the command of God, Never again would God deal with Saul and from then on everything Saul did seemed nutty. The guy did not know right from wrong and everything was against him. The Witnesses fell into this trap when they assumed they were speaking for God.

Luke Evans new book about being JW
by ElderBerry ini haven’t read it but just browsing say jehovah’s witnesses mentioned a lot.. there are pictures of his congregations he was brought up in.
and his father looks like an elder years ago when luke was young, but i could be wrong.. later on there are pictures of his father was one of the extras in the hobbit as luke had a lead role.
could his father still be an elder and be in movies.

His father was a Laketowner in the Desolation of Smaug, Hobbit trilogy. It's hard to recognize him because of the large fake beard he wore in the film.

Footage from Recently Converted Kingdom Hall to a Mosque
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/kjqwfeuhpji?si=6ahbituygdyiq3za.
when jehovah’s witnesses dedicate their kingdom halls, they often refer to the example of solomon dedicating the temple in jerusalem.
it’s a solemn moment.

It's a double standard if they sell the Kingdom Halls to Christendom, Judaism or Islam. They preach in their magazines that the friends must not have interfaith but selling these buildings to them is the same thing. They should tear the building down if they don't want to support Babylon the Great. That would make a statement about their absolute integrity. The building is God's not theirs after the dedication ceremony. He'd want it torn down.

Mohammed is the most popular baby name in Britain too. Jehovah has lost to Baal in Britain. Islam uses fear of death to keep its members. Where do I sign up?

Your old "Bonafide" account has been removed along with all your posts.
There are threads of people asking where you went. They even link some of your content which ends in a dead link.

The following link is a dead end.

We Don’t Give Christmas Presents; We Give Presents To Each Other All Year Long!
by Sea Breeze inhow many of you dutifully told this lie to your friends as a kid?.
-
Acluetofindtheuser
This is so true. In my childhood I heard of potential present days for some JW kids. I think they never happened because they feared their kids would brag to the other kids and demand it too from their parents.
An elder and I talked about this along time ago out in service. He said he knew the friends were saying they would give other times of the year to each other but in reality they never do, He said that was a sad fact.
The witness way is just an excuse not to part with money you don't have give up. This is one of the many reasons why no one wants to join this religion. It's no fun.

The Creation Story of Genesis 1 in its literary context
by Leolaia ingenesis 1 , the priestly (p) account of creation, has often been compared with the enuma elish, the akkadian creation myth.
some have claimed that p is dependent on the latter, but this is highly improbable.
in terms of similarities, most note the parallel of marduk splitting the body of the sea-monster tiamat and creating the heavens and earth from it, and elohim's division of the thwm "watery deep" (hebrew cognate of akkadian tiamat) into the heavens, earth, and seas.

Moses wasn't the sole author of Genesis. He didn't get an inspired download of Genesis when he became an anointed one of God. There were preserved ancient documents that were given to Moses at the proper time. Noah's log was one of those documents along with the story of Job.
A May 15, 2003 Watchtower revealed there may have been a log of Noah that was passed down through many generations. There are ancient records that say Seth, the third son of Adam and Eve, was the inventor of written language. He possibly was the first one to get the accounts of Genesis started. The early inspired records would have been passed on from Seth to Enoch and then from Enoch to Noah and then to Shem.

I enjoyed this remarkable thread by Leolaia. She is truly a biblical scholar. We need to revive more of her old threads. Thanks for bumping it.
