I noticed Elders in a number of congregations I've attended that had low paying jobs like window washing, carpet cleaning, bus driver and pizza delivery. At these same halls there were male publishers with college education in engineering fields and more. These publishers never reached out to be elders for some reason but they loved to comment at the meetings and go out in service. I think they just did the 10 hours to make everyone happy.

JW light Elders?
by Mikejw inso many elders are now saying no to pretty much everything.. they are saying no to assignments and away talks.
saying no to jobs in the cong.
the cos and the super fine elders are using scripture and the elders manual to try to persuade them to step up.. many are coming off as an elder, but even more are simply saying the cost of living or other reasons they are just finding it hard to fulfill all their assignments.. if you say you want to come off the public talks list altogether they still try putting you down for some and making a fuss saying you have to give some public talks.

Why the need to toss out the word "strength" when heart and mind are already covered with one word?

The Arab nations have a problem. Their people can't focus. Islam forces them to have a divided mind. It's mainly due to the rituals that are constantly interrupting their daily activities. This is why Israel always out smarts them. I've worked around Muslim people in various countries and I see the pattern. Don't get me wrong, they can be the nicest people but it allows them to excuse themselves whenever a deep issue needs resolving.
The Witness Way does the same thing to the school/work week. It was worse when they had the separate Book Study evening. That's why you have all these uneducated folks that can't think critically. The meeting is just parroting session of the literature.

The apostle John's records always seem contrary to the three synoptic gospels. The other three gospels never mention Jesus raising the temple (body) himself). They're called synoptic because they report similar accounts.
Another interesting thing is that the Muslims dislike the gospel of John because it makes Jesus seem like God and because there are glaring contradictions between John and the other three gospels.

i am in the insurance restoration construction business and have been in mediation many times when a policy holder sues an insurance company for not paying everything they believe is due them under the terms of their policy for property damage.. i am brought in as a technical expert.. in mediation, the plaintiff (policy holder) and the defendant (insurance company) are placed in separate rooms, they do not talk to each other.
they are separated because the dispute has alienated the one from the other.
