  What age should you get baptized?

  as from today i am disfellowshipped.

  my parents cant talk to me and alot of issues have arisen which i have mentioned in my other posts.

  i got baptized at 14 and i think it is way to young to make such a decision which will affect your whole life.

  My in-laws have friends who is baptized he's just 8.

  To answer your question if one choses to be a Christian one should do so as an adult & never as a Jehovah's Witness.

  i received the following email from a former jw that i thought to share.

  note: i retyped the boe letter that was sent from the christian congregation of jehovahs witnesses to all congregations in the us.

  the letter is authentic.

  Does anyone know what the Watchtower's corporate ladder would be like?

  i was wondering if anyone knows how a brother would make his way up to the governing body.

  in my (worldly) opinion, there has to be something like a corporate ladder to climb.

  does anyone know what the "procedure" would be?.

  it is not our right to tell others how to run their personal affairs'' anybody here ever been told to do something/how to do something by an elder or other jw?

  in regards to job situation/family for example, with no direct scriptural backing...

  @ Jean luc picard I was a newbie an I was a sister it was a skirt suit that had a vest & tie

  In regards to the sex article it was true the reason being it arouses passion. I said so, I'm married I can defuse any passions aroused with my husband.

  i was reading the letter of james before and i came across a verse which a brother on my judicial comittee shown me:.

  14 is there anyone sickamong you?

  let him call the older men of the congregation to [him], and let them pray over him, greasing [him] with oil in the name of jehovah.

  Awesome find Timothy.

  I found this in the NWT the reference for James 5:14 is Mark 6:13 "and they would expel many demons and grease many sickly people with oil and cure them." The correct explanation was there all along.

  What's behind the JW "stare"

  in my interactions with jw males guarding the kh entrance or with the various males my study conductor would bring to our study (one i later found out was considered a "heavy," meaning he was supposedly really good at answering tough questions), i notice they stare intensely at me and i start fumbling my words.

  in one case, i went to a different kh where no one knew me and got the same stare at the door.

  is this stare deliberate, and if so, what is behind it?

  I use to comment on a stare in regards to Mormons, maybe because I was a JW I never noticed it.
