  after being on this forum for a long time, i am starting to realize that the obsession devoted to and surrounding leaving the organization is just as strong, if not stronger, than the obsession for the wts as a current jw.

  its like a tiny bug eating and crunching away at the inner ear.

  is this healthy?

  interesting.

  always wanted a bible i didn't have to carry, except preferably a more accurate one.... one thing i noticed was, remember how they'd have the brackets [] to indicate words inserted, according to them, to complete the sense of what was meant in the original languages?

  i noticed that those brackets are gone, and the words are just in the text now.

  Am I on thin ice with my friend?

  i'm a former mts graduate, and it's a long story but i recently became inactive after realising it was all nonsense.

  the problem is, i've noticed that my mts background makes it almost impossible for people to accept my new status as an "inactive" one.

  people think that, given the amount of knowledge i have, there is surely no excuse for me to reach this preposterous decision.. a friend from my mts recently began emailing me to find out my reasons.

  Have you ever successfully persuaded anyone?

  i've had many conversations with religious people and am always surprised that i am never able to get anyone to put their programmed beliefs aside and process the logic that proves how unreasonable their doctrines are.. so, i'm wondering, have you ever successfully persuaded someone to change their mind about something that they had been brainwashed with, and if so, how did you do it?.

  The Jws got me for a year until i came to my senses. Ask them!!

  Bear in mind i was on drugs, rehab, drinking excessivly, self harming, suicidal and depressed.

  And arrested several times. it was a mad moment of my life, at my lowest.

  Prey on those who are weak and low, then youll get them to change their mind.

  Oh yeah, and locked up in a nuthouse.

  And sectioned.

  And beaten.

  i had heard about the mormons, but i had not been the least interested in them.

  in that 5 month time period from when i prayed to god up until the day i got saved, no mormons or jehovah's witnesses came knocking on my door and they would always come to my house on saturdays.

  You Reap what you sow in life.

  If you pray to God to come into a lot of money and your claiming state benefits and not working whilst you are able to, dont expect any outcome.

  If you pray to God for help and guidance in times of distress calling upon him for help, there is not a prayer that goes unanswered.

  God is everywhere, in all of us, around all of us.

  What is truth? The JWs? The Catholics? The Protestants? The Muslims? The Hindus?

  God is everywhere, with the catholics, with the JWs, with the Muslims, with the athiests.

  The Jehovahs Witnesses are so fixated on "truth" and that they are the only ones who have it. I feel like shaking them and telling them to wake up! God is everywhere no matter you think.

  Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

  my mom texted me after i texted her letting her know i felt the quake today.

  her only response was "'matthew 24:7".

  Ask her why Christchurch, New Zealand has had over 8,000 earthquakes in the last 12 months and they've all been in the SAME FRIGGIN PLACE!

  it was very serious but she is going to be ok. this is our opportunity to wish her well.

  Another girl dies because of the WT No blood command !

  jehovah's witness died after family refused blood transfusion.

  a young jehovah's witness died after a roller-blading accident because her family refused to let her have a life-saving blood transfusion, an inquest heard today.. a doctor said he pleaded with her family to allow her a transfusion which would have given her a 90% chance of survival.. emelie grootjes, 19, broke both legs after she lost control of her skates going down a hill on july 31. emelie, a dutch student, had been on holiday at the lockley park caravan park, hamworthy, dorset, with her mother, father, brother and sister, all jehovah's witnesses.. the inquest at bournemouth, dorset, was told she was taken to poole general hospital where she died from fat embolism syndrome five days later.. east dorset coroner nigel neville-jones heard that fat and marrow from her shattered bones had entered her blood system before jamming up around her lungs and finally killing her.. dr charles blakeway, a consultant surgeon, described a complicated two-hour operation designed to bind her legs and stop further fat getting into her bloodstream.. he said: "we would normally give a transfusion straight away.

  Truly a sad stroy, but sadly it does happen to many people out there, and many more to come. Not all stories are recorded like this one.

  How are things going since my exit?

  today i got accepted to a christian university and we had an earthquake!!!

  the college is located here in va and is the largest christian university in the us.

  my husband is worried about the money but the fact that it's liberty u upsets him more.. otherwise things are good between us things are tense on meeting days.
