my handle: mindchild comes from computer scientist and futurist dr. hans moravec: who wrote the book, the future of robot and human intelligence which is a book about when we will be able to construct machines capable of human intelligence and raises the possibility of uploading ourselves (every thought we ever had) into an android body much superior to the human ones we have now.
i entertain the hope that not only will i live long enough to see this happen, i will transfer myself (the complete essence of what is me) into a body of my own choosing and become immortal if i so choose.

I had been lurking awhile on this site and wanted a username. This was fate, a sign or something. And I have loved it ever since.

another memorial!!!
who's going to do the talk, the prayers over the emblems, prayer before meeting.
I'm not looking forward to the Memorial this year, either. All the phony hello's and the "Haven't seen you in soooo loooong..." Drives me crazy. But the rest of the family puts up a front by attending to please my dad. Plus, I think there is a stigma by not attending. I would rather go and sit there for a couple of hours, one night a year. Than face the next visit of elders who "Just happened to be in your neighborhood to "encourage" you."
The best part: Coming home and talking about how old so and so is.
The worst: Knowing that you will have to go next year, too.

now, for me, i prefer snicker's and reese's butter cups, but that is just me.

Seriously, my favorite it Chocolate Symphony bars. They're made by Hershey. Creamy milk chocolate with Almonds and Toffee chips.

how important is it to have someone special in your life?.
when i was a regular pioneer, i was constantly hearing that i should put off getting involved with any romantic relationships because i would want to spend all my time with my new love, and i would give up serving as a pioneer.. after i left the borgs cuckoos nest, i still had to put off getting romantically involved in long-term relationships because of wanting to be a full time college student.
later in life, i put off involvement again because of career options.
I think it is very important to love. Love anybody and everybody. When I was in the truth, I met several brothers who were interesting, for the moment, then our relationships turned to friendship. Now that I'm single, I regret not having more serious relationships. (It was frowned upon in the truth.) It seems nice that you can have someone to live and share your life with. My point is that one should never stop loving. My friends and family fill some void with the loneliness. Right now, finding a special someone is hard. But, I am not pressuring myself into relationships. If something happens that's great, if not, that's fine with me, too.

i got mails from a fellow who thinks that i am a jw co. he is so enthusiastic that he wnat to become a jaydub and is sending me mails requesting a biblestudy by e-mail.
of course i can not do that.. so, can any of you jw's who read this, contact him and conduct a biblestudy with him?

Unfortunately, I don't have too much privacy when I am on this particular website. My JW dad, likes to look over my shoulder when I am typing. He was kind of worried that this person might want to take the information and put it to some bad use. In case the interested person actually wanted to take to time for apostate uses.
Go figure!

Thanks for posting that, Prisca. This was the first positive post I could actually show my JW dad. He thinks that we only have negative things to say about the witnesses. This is proof that we can be objective.

is a certified citrus fruit shipper for florida orange growers.. now this is not illegal at all but does the average rank and file know this, they were inc. in 1986 i was active at that time, there was never any mention of this activity to my knowledge.. this is what gets me...how in the world can the wtbts do things like this and nobody ever finds out about it through the society.. please clue me in!!
