Anybody With Sleep Apnea?
by prophecor inhow are you coping?
do you use a cpap machine or did you get surgery to correct your difficulties?
do you dread having to go to sleep, with the possibility that you may never awaken?

The longest hour for me was the family study. Nobody wanted to do it and we all got into a family argument every time. I even remember my dad telling the elders at out sheparding call that it was supposed to help us and bring us together and it did the exact opposite. That should've been a clue we were in the wrong religion. I also used to do what New Light said by staying in bed and praying that my parents would oversleep and forget to go out in service. It only worked a few times

I loved doing kitchen duty as I was able to get out of parts of the assembly. I think that those were probably the more memorable occasions I had during those years. I hated staying after to clean though, but my father always that it would show a good example that we were staying later and doing our duty.

I've got it. I awaken gasping for air a lot. It scares the hell outta me. I'm only aware of this happening a few times a night, but my doctor says that it probably happens a lot more than that. He's been urging me to go to the sleep disorder clinic at the hospital, but I can't really afford it so not sure what I'm gonna do yet.

Was anyone actually ever banned from playing chess?
by Jodo inawake!
1973 march 22 pp.13-14 chess-what kind of game is it?
the spirit of competition in chess may be stirred to fever pitch, which is reflected in chess players' attitudes and language.

I remember shortly after learning how to play chess an elder spoke to my parents and the parents of my cousin who also played. He told them that they shouldn't allow us to play war games because even the watchtower had mentioned that it was something that should be shied away from. My parents and his told him that since the game didn't cause us to fight or bring us into a war like fervor that we'd be ok.

LDH, I took one of these tests for the Army. The highest you can get is a 99. Most people rarely make it over a 50 and in order to even carry a wearpon you must score a 35 or higher. It was a four hour test and very difficult I scored high enough to get whatever job I wanted in the Army and got quite the bonus $ out of it too.
