Reuben should win, Clay probably will, but Kimberley is in my heart!
Mom heard Oprah might be a judge or there tonight!!!
i know most of you american idol watchers perfer clay or reuben...and they are both worthy winners...(last year i would have croaked if kelly clarkson didn't win!
)...but i'm sure you'll agree it will be more fun if all 3 give outstanding performances tonight and it's not a token night tomorrow!

I just love these kind of performers...Cirquilie (or whatever you call it), and the two guys with the tigers, Celine Dion --the shows everyone goes for, just don't turn my crank!
I'll also be shooting my short film there so once again, if any one is interested in being an extra, let me know!
our daughter in law, tracey, who was never a jw, is a hair stylist.
i went to the place she works for a haircut the other day, and was telling her about the big party at joy and steve's last month.
we talked about a lot of things about the party, and then she said this:.
I left the Witnesses in '85; one of my best friends in '94...he still cares what Witnesses think 'cause he's worried about being disfellowshipped. I stopped caring years ago but I obssessed with death and Armegeddon until a couple of years ago! He never worried about that!
We're all so different in our individual reactions to the experience yet bonded by something we all had in common.
My friend and I met in '93 --he didn't know I had been a Witness; I didn't know he was one...not until the following year did he admit that he was a Witness. I was completely shocked. I didnt' go, how wonderful you are one of me...I thought, why the hell didn't you tell me earlier? As close as we were by that point, we immediately had this catalogue of experiences to share, a language so unique that all my other friends VISIT out conversation, but never really understand what it was like.
I don't really know ex-witnesses...I met my friend before he left...One of the things this board has done for me: I've never felt so fricken normal in my life!
I agree with some of the posters: Mulan is one of the most fair, even-handed people I've ever communicated with here.
I find bitterness a normal emotion but it isn't a pleasant feeling to witness or experience.

i hope...and i hope clay is in the bottom two tomorrow to even the field and so that he knows what rueben went through last week!.
.
Nikki could sing a little bit of country, but oh, she was so beautiful...I think Corey (who got tossed this year for something or other) was worse than her..his voice was like nails on a chalkboard!

I agree Sandy and Reborn..
Laryn Hill was BOOED on STAR SEARCH years ago as a young child ...then she went on to win 5 grammys as an adult...sometimes negatives can make someone work that much harder...and just because Clay or whoever wins American Idol doesn't mean squat to me...Remember Frenchy who was booted off for topless internet photos...I thought she was out of this world amazing...
It's all relative and subjective...

Dear Mulan
That is just a mean thing to imply. Just because a man is artistic and sensitive and slightly built, does not make him gay. People used to think that of our youngest son all the time. He wasn't, and isn't, but he is very sensitive and different..............not all men are the macho types. Why label someone? No one implies Ruben is gay!! But, he is just as likely to be as Clay.
I'm a gay man; many of my friends are gay; I have many straight friends: all of us have said the same thing about Clay...it's not mean...how many people do we meet and we think, straight or that's one's gay...
In the year 2003, describing or hinting at homosexuality is not a negative...It's like something inate.
I've got gaydar...sorry...even my Witness mother said, "I think that one is one of you's..." Mother's not being mean...It's just the way it is...
Did you see when Simon criticized Clay's dance move/disco...I thought we were going to see some bitch/slapping...
So no offense meant Mulan, "I am what I am..."

Ryan the host is much cuter...I agree, Josh's singing on the second song was superb, but he did have a lot of misses. And Trencye had the diva part down pat.
But I would only buy records from Reuben and Kimberley...Clay has a beautiful voice, pitch perfect, but not enough soul for me...though I think it will "come out" soon..hee hee
