  Apost-0-Conventions

  what is it that the wtbts can't abide nor tolerate?

  publicity: the searching luminosity of truth.

  when the light of truth is turned on them, they scatter like roaches suddenly exposed to daylight.. i am suggesting that next summer, during the usual round of vacation ruining assemblies, that we have our own round of conventions, apost-0-conventions.

  I am all for a weekend get-away (St. Louis sounds good!) where we have different activities scheduled...like doing the tourist-trap scene. We could all stay at the same hotel and have different activities planned...you could pick and choose which ones you wanted to participate in and which ones you didn't. We could even reserve a conference room and have different speakers for the ones interested in addressing issues...kind of like they do for big company conferences. I went to one for GNC one year in LasVegas...we had parties and presentations and all kinds of cool activities planned...even a formal dinner and dance.

  I would be interested in Lizardsnot's suggestion of "randomn acts of kindness"...now that would be cool. And definitely the smurf name tags!!

  If we decided to do it Cincinnati, I would be more than willing to do all the leg work and preparations. Bobsgirl and I already talked about doing this type of thing over Labor Day weekend!

  JWs at my door....return visit tomorrow

  i just had two nice jw women knock on my door...i invited them in and listened to their brief presentation and accepted the watchtower and awake.

  they couldn't stay(had a bible study they had to go on)so they said they will be back tomorrow...i am playing the naive daughter of jw parents of whom i have had debates with in regards to jw doctrines...that way i don't seem to be totally oblivious to their teachings, yet not an "evil apostate"!.

  i was taken off guard, so i am glad they are coming back....any suggestions on how to approach these two women without blowing my cover?

  I made it clear that I have debated my JW mother on many issues and so I wasn't in the dark about their teachings and the NWT. So, to debate them on doctrines isn't really of interest to me...and I will probably make that clear right away.

  I am thinking of addressing the pedophile issue for the sole reason that when they were here my three little ones (ages 5,3&2) were climbing all over them. My children are very affectionate and one of the women even commented on how friendly they were. I think mentioning that fact and saying that after watching the Dateline show, I realize just how serious the issue of pedophiles being allowed to go door-to-door truly is, and that I don't think people should have to fear that their children were in the presense of a pedophile in their own homes.

  I do like the idea of wasting their time....but I think I could do that with a nice cold drink of water and casual conversation. I remember loving PKT(pioneer kill time)...they would probably like that more than pounding the payment all day in this hot weather...and I could handle a little friendly conversation with ADULTS after being with little ones all day!

  Afterall, I like the JWs, I don't like their leaders, most JWs are not at all like their leaders!

  P.S. I haven't read a Watchtower and Awake in over 7 years....they haven't changed much! They left me OLD May issues 15, 22....don't they know it is June already?

  I think it is great that you are still going regardless of the un-invite. I think someday your daughter will be happy that you came, until then do what you need to do for you!

  Jubilee Celebrations Forbidden To Witness Kids.

  today, tuesday, is the fourth day of celebrating queen elizabeth 2nds golden jubilee in the uk.

  whether youre a royalist or not doesnt really matter, the queen is, especially to the english, a part of our heritage.

  its history being made in glorious technicolour.. so, theres lots of celebrating been goin on over the last 4 days.

  Now we all know that it is a conscience matter whether JWs attend these type of events....BUT, if you have a "good" conscience you wouldn't even think about going!....Isn't that pretty much how it works???

  i had mentioned to a few people in the chat room a couple of months ago, that i was studying for and took this really hard test.

  "registered invasive cardiovascular specialist" exam.

  i just go my results and i passed.

  Dateline Aftermath

  the result of the airing of the dateline program has been very positive.

  dateline program will no doubt air again in reruns and may get further coverage soon.

  there have been many mixed emotions as a result of this program.

  i can't find the words that would express how grateful i am for all the support, not only for all of you to back me on the dateline show but for my trial as well.

  i don't think i would have had the courage to go through the trauma if it wasn't for all your prayers and encouragement.

  dateline was a huge help for many and i know this because i have recieved quite a few calls, one from a current jdub who wants out for the safety of his 16 month old baby, i was so excited that he lifted the veil and saw it for the pure truth that it was.
