  my friend and i went to have sushi yesterday, the place is downtown and believe it or not, there was an open parking spot right in front of their door...my friend pulled right in and said "jehovah must want us to have sushi today"...imao still!

  Commercialism of Christmas

  i hear a lot of people complaining about the commercialism of christmas....well, i buy into the whole kit and kaboodle...i love christmas and everything about it!.

  infact, i celebrate only for the commercialism since i don't buy into the whole "christ" of the holiday.. does anyone else love christmas?

  Jesus a "cult"?

  there is a discussion on another board and we were discussing cults when a jw made the comment...

  using the same standards that you guys are using... jesus and the apostles were a "cult"... .

  i have heard other jws defend the term "cult" with the same illustration, so it definitely sounds like a parrotted answer from the wtbs.

  have you heard about the next planned "survivor" show?

  mark burnett, producer of "survivor" plans to enlist 12 men, who will be dropped in an unidentified suburb with a van, six kids (each of whom play two sports and take either a musical instrument or dance class), and no access to fast food.

  they must keep the house clean, correct all homework (receiving at least a "b+" on all papers), complete one science project, cook (ok, they can bring one cookbook), do laundry, etc.
