cedars - Take the advise to enjoy that wonderful relationship with your family members again, It is for your own good, you wont loose anything. Tell me, where will JWN lead you? No where, It will only tie you with a rope of addiction, attend the next meeting tomorrow, meet the elders in the back room and sort things out with them.

cedars- After several months on apostate website and masterminding an ostentatious survey, It is not a surprise that you couldnt catch up with the meetings again. Now this is what you should do, go and speak with one of the elders in your congregation, tell them all you have done n this forum and other things you have secretly involved in and let them grease you with prayer. This is the only medium to have peace with God and renew your relationship with him, by this your conscience can be free and you can regain that stable mind where the holy spirit can freely flow

life is too short- You need to remind yourself that Stephen Hassan would use all techniques at his disposal to diagnose your situation and come up with a syndrome that will make you rely on him. Stephen pays his bills by convincing you that you are in a cult, so that you can buy his books and keep his business running. I'm not attacking him neither I am underminning his effort, I am only explainning the reality in clear terms.

Life is short - Thank you for expressing the details surrounding your hurdles and difficulties in clear terms, I wish I had met you in the middle of this distress, your story could have be re-written differently, infact you would have remained and moved on perfectly well. When you realised that things were no longer adding up in the organisation all you could have done is to slow down or limit your participation momentarily, It is just a reminder that you need to take things easy, we often get exhausted and feel tired even in our secular obligations and all that is needed to bounce back is to get refreshment and reshuffle where needed, not a sudden withdrawal or an inaugauration of attack on the organisation.
You could have reminded yourself that Jehovah has not promised us protection against physical attacks neither has he promised to shield us miraculously when disaster strikes, Job's example could have strengtened you in this respect. remember that the issue of universal sovereignty has been raging for some 6,000yrs and our loyalty in this regard will not only strenghten us but serve as an example to others while making Jehovah's heart rejoice. Endurance would have been implored in this regard, although our hope for the future may be mocked and seemed fading in the face of too many distress but what matter most is not a human perspective of seeing matters but how Jehovah looks at things.
Take heart, you could still consider some of these things and see if there is a way to get back.

by mankkeli inon this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.
for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.
what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

ShadesofGrey- The view of mass destruction in armaggeddon is something you could have easily adjusted in your daughter, this can simply be done by drawing her attention to the depth of Jehovah's love, emphasise the magnitude of his justice while backing it up with scriptural examples of his saving power. We all have those fears once in a while but pondering of Jehovah's righteous qualities help to dismiss those consternations.

OODAD- My goal is not to argue or fuel contention, my pure motive is to keep lurkers away from information intended to undermine the credibility of the borg. Most of them have been JW loyal adherents for decades, the scheme and technique that has kept them in up till this moment will surely keep them going. Millions have remained JW till death, many could hardly recount any moment of regret, they wouldnt have even wished to have traded those moment with anything else. If they can do it, we can encourage others to follow suit.
Lurkers based on the thousands of posts I have read here, go and sort out your problems with your cngregation elders and dont expose yourself to disheartening disaster.

by mankkeli inin the previous thread of this series, i called lurkers attention to the need of being discreet when contemplating an exit from the jw religion.
i mentioned that the thread was borne as a result of the general observations i made reading old posts here and discussing with many ex-jws and their lives have gradually turned out.
that thread alone was visited more than 2,980 times and graced with 204 contributions.
