Ding dong with 4 JWs this morning
by Qcmbr inthe jws were out in our area this morning and i bolted downstairs before my wife could waive them away as she normally does.. two ladies (mum and 24 year old daughter i later found out) initially stopped as i opened with a comment about how i couldn't trust a thing they say because they are taught to practice theocratic warfare.. the mother blinked and asked me what that was ( so it began ) i informed them both that they are allowed to lie or at least be evasive with the truth with worldy people.
she countered that they are taught not to lie so i again asked her if she knew what theocratic warfare meant and she again said no (first of my many - 'please go look that up' statements .).
i then moved onto the idea that they couldn't think independently outside the organisation due to fear of being disfellowshipped and shunned.

who then fall in love, and end up having to admit that sex without emotion was not possible.
i wonder though, do you really think this is the case.

one that comes to mind is that jws will give their church literature but are not permitted to accept yours..

One of the reasons used for not accepting other religions literature is that, those people wait for you to come to them (with the exception of the Mormons). I wouldn't accept any literature from people who didn't even bother to attempt to locate me. It is easy to give out literature at places like laundromats or doctors offices-no contact with people, so those of other religions don't have to really make any sacrifice for their worship (by the way, I got many of my JW placements this way, as I hated the ministry, though I did get in token hours).

and his thursday night talked included rants covering several topics, with an especially long winded diatribe against "higher education".
he is pretty good speaker , and his choice of illustrations seemed to win an emotional response from the audience that ive never seen with regard to that subject.. he began the discussion with how concerned the governing body was with the decision some parents have made to send their kids to college.

The arguement of it being about "their black hair products" making the pool water cloudy may be true. But doesn't white people hair products-the volumizers, sleek look stuff, gel, mousse, hair spray, root lifter, leave in conditioners, Rogaine, make the water cloudy too? The landlord is either stupid or racist.

personally, i never felt i would be good enough for a split second.
one would think that knowing you can not be good enough to survive would it make it easier to leave the witnesses and live for the present.

No, never, ever. It terrified me too. I think that that fear was the beginning of the panic attack problem I've battled for years. The nightmares were there, and still are sometimes. I sometimes get scared when I'm awake, the old fears die difficultly.

Thank you for the intel. It is crazy what they are doing. I know of an attorney for WTBS, that they sent to law school!
(Of course, if he ever leaves Bethel, they will attempt to revoke his license to practice law.)

JWs react with joy when something bad has happen to inactive or DF'd ones
by Anator ini've noticed when i was an active dub that some jws act joyful whenever they hear that an inactive jw or a df'd person had something bad happen to them.
some have a glee-ful smile and they give that *look* that says, "we told you so".
have you ever experienced what i'm referring to?

If something bad happens to a df'd person, it reinforces the idea of Jehovah blesses his organization, we are living in a spiritual paradise, sort of stuff that we all gag at now.
