The public prosecuter is interested in getting information on JWs.
by Driving Force inbackground information.
i myself am in full fade mode with an overly active jw wife, who refuses to discuss any point whatsoever.
a friend who is not a jw nor has ever been a jw; he studied for a few months, then realized what an evil cult it is and stopped.

I just signed up. You can request to NOT have your name visible to others on the petition site, if you are in the fading process.

Young JW's with crazy abusive parents: You are not alone. Here's a crazy story from my past.
by cappytan infirst off, if you are in an abusive household and don't have the means to leave, you need to get help immediately.
contact the police.
they have resources to help you, especially if you have proof.

cappytan-Your story about curfew reminds me of mine: I stupidly got married before I was 18, like lots of JW teens at that point in time. After four years of marriage I just wanted out by any means necessary, including death, crazily enough. With my ex being physically abusive, distance was needed during the divorce process. My parents lived 1500 miles from where i currently was, so I moved in with them. At 23 years of age, they decided I needed a curfew...of 11:30 PM. I had no car, no furniture, no money, no job, no friends (my parents relocated 800 miles from my home state 2 years after I married). There was no public transportation service of any kind in that small town and rural county. Upon finding a job, I had to rely on my mom to drive me to work until a car was affordable. After several weeks on the job, I was invited to go out with some co-workers after work. I went. My mom insisted that I be picked up by 8:00 PM, she told me in advance. I knew this. Instead of just coming into the parking lot at 8:00, she came 15 minutes early, marched into the restaurant and announced to all there 'That it was time to come home NOW!' It was absolutely humiliating and virtually impossible to live down that my Mommy came to get me.
Needless to say, I worked my butt off to get my own place (a furnished little dump, but SOOOO worth it) and a car!

BlackWolf-My son has suffered through years of mental problems, anxiety and worry being the top issues for him. I suffered from panic and anxiety, depression and OCD for 30 years. For me the answer to most of my health issues was leaving the JW's. My panic and anxiety have been reduced to maybe occurred one per year vs daily for years. My son was taken to a child psychiatrist who worked at giving him the tools to help him slow down he fear and calm down. She even encouraged the worst case scenario to happen. Like leaving his school books at home instead of bringing them to school. Nothing bad happened, so he was able to discount a fear and build trust in what she was telling him was true. Beg your parents to take you for help. Tell them you are afraid of hurting yourself if you don't get treatment. What you area dealing with isn't an easy matter, rather a dangerous one in truth.

The Iron Fist in the Velvet Glove
by Lee Elder inthe watchtower and jehovah's witnesses are fond of saying there are no automatic sanctions for taking blood.
that they no longer disfellowship someone who takes blood.
that they have a "free choice" in the matter.
-

This could be a smoking gun for some government that they have managed to mislead by saying taking blood is a conscience matter. It isn't reported that way on their forms. -

The more the GB denies, the worse it sounds. It is wonderful that more and more people are refusing to be silenced on this issue. Brave woman.

Britain Branch Construction - UPDATE
by The Searcher indefinitely something going in the london bethel.. i thought i'd ask them again (and record it again) what the situation was regarding the new britain branch construction work.. i got the same sister (debbie) and here is how the conversation went: .
me: i've been told that construction of the new branch has been stopped - is this true?.
debbie: no, it has not ceased, it's carrying on as normal - can i ask where you're calling from?.

If they are stopping construction, they probably cannot just drop their tools and leave. There has to be a proper and planned stopping point, clean up of loose ends.
