i've been browsing here for some time now and i've read the erroneous arguments supporting 587, the petty feelings over the un, blah blah blah.

this is a community of disgruntled people telling each other what they want to hear.

you've all essentially created your own truth, tickling your own ears.

That is a good one,,, I used to think i was better than others also...

I used ot go to the movies as a witness teenager and say to the others,

Just Think all those people below us are going to die, we are going to live.

and then I started to see reality.

Elders sneaking into private discussions when i was talking to the DO, or RO,

then they start talking behind my back, wondering,, what it is i am discussing.. when we are just friends.

then one day i had an elders son on the day he was appointed come and attack me in the kingdom hall accusing me

of taking his business. he injured me badly so that i had to go home, as the meeting had just started. that night he was appointed.

Amazing how gods spirit works to promote those who have a good heart.

now 30 years later, he is stil an elder, still a greedy selfish individual whom respects money.

Now i realise there is NO BLACK AND WHITE

there is ONLY SHADES OF GREY in life.

the sooner you wake up and realise that you are a sinner and take away your haughty attitude the sooner you will ask god for forgivness and wil recieve forgivness.

The people here are made up of those that are hurting because of the oranisation.

those that have lost their faith completely.

those whom can see it is not truth.

those who stil feel it is the truth but cannot make the move to leave because of whatever reason.

those that are born agains and pretend to be ex jehovahs witnesses. Lots of them!.

those that have no idea about Jw religion at all but add a comment or few.

and those that are intelectually advanced in knowledge history and concept whom giveexcellent information both biased and not.

as i said nothing is balck and white in life, the society insists that black is black and white is white, but reality is it is not.

Wake up, do not feel you are self important, you wil probably learn something if nothing else...

as many of us are aware the wt society has done quite nicely in a material way for themselves.

the sales of properties of the former " bethel " in brooklyn amassed them millions of more $$$$ .

they have relocated into upstate new york and are building like wildmen.

I remember an elderly brother, served all his life so to speak.

He had an old car and couldnt afford the insurance even.

He had a bad heart.

He was out in the field often, every chance he got.

he was a very genuine old man, give you the shrt off his back.

One day he had a car accident, balcked out..

crashed into a RollRoyce.

He had no insurnace so they sued him.

he was only getting a pension.

NOBODY, offered him assistance.

they Ran from him and bad mouthed him for being so stupid for driving without insurance.

What Those fools didnt know is that he was on the way to the doctor.

he didnt like to ask anyone to take him, felt bad at being a trouble to anyone.

after awhile the courtcase ended, he didnt make it to the meetings and about 12 months later he died alone in his one bedroom pensioner flat.

At the age of 78 i think he was, he died alone, no visitors, since he wasnt going to meetings, and because he was unwise in his life he was sort of shunned. nobody helped him!.

He had served faithfully for over 60 years, then left like a dog...

to DIE....

SOME of those billions could have assisted him to live a better life and I BET nobody would begrudge faithful elderly servants getting a hand out...

in fact i reckon i can glean far more than that from a net wide scan.

i am trying to contact my mothers elders in riverside ca, because my mother doesn't talk to her family.

since that means at least 12 phone calls to various kh's i thought i'd start with my aunt to see what the name of the congegation is.

unfortunatly she didn't know.

Remember that activity in general keeps the elderly young, gives purpose for living and sense of belonging.

all these are important for healthy life. if you just sit at home with no contact and bored you die real quick.

it is easy to say is not fair and no good for them to do this but they have the power to say no.

initial poster,,,,if your mum is impaired in thinking then it would seem someone is pushing where they should not be.

but this may not be the case, it is hard to take out impaired people in service, it takes effort, a lot of effort.

maybe you should quietly go observe from a distance, you might get a surprise.

if after this it is apearing too much then contact the PO and ask why this is happening when she is obviously not well enough to do this.

but first you should ask you mum if she enjoys this or it is pressure on her to do so.

would it not be sad if she was actually enjoying getting out and meeting people and you stopped it?.

remember she may not tell you exactly how she is feeling.

there are a great many people - and internet sites- that preach a sort of 2012/ufo gospel.

while they may contradict one another, they mostly teach that ufo's will intervene and save us, especially if governments admit that they exist.. yeah, ok..... been there, heard that..... but could there be a core of truth to this idea?.
