  Preaching the good news in Africa . . . WTS's future?

  there's been a few threads and comments on where wts will concentrate their efforts to maintain membership.

  it has been suggested that the advent and growth of the net, among other things, has significantly slowed growth in most developed lands.

  some of the new style of literature has added to the speculation that less devloped lands present a better opportunity.. .

  Cedars, You are quite right, Actually the biggest growth in africa is the Pentecostal Healing and saved in te name of jesus types.

  JW's are not doing really well in comparision.

  The money is in healing and expelling demons.

  BUt in africa there is a strong kind of emotions for god.

  People have the need to worship and they have been used and abused by the politicians and the religions.

  Africa is strong growth for JW's, but just not as much as others.

  The knowledge in africa by JW's is so limited it makes you cry. Background informations about the organisation is so limited.

  Naturally i help a lot in that regard.

  i have posted this experience of mine before- it's time to resurrect it again.. in 1999 i was in bed asleep and i had a dream- my father and i were shoping at a clothing store called fazios, that i hadn't been inside since i was a boy (closed for many years).

  we were looking at some denim overhalls and in walks my mother and brother ( she died in 1991 and my brother had died five months previously).

  they told my dad, it's time to go.

  Wer eyou dehydrated, over tired, stressed.

  The mind and subconcious plays tricks on us, Our dream state is wel ldocumented to produce wild emotions and vivid realities that are not real.

  Since your dad was already in hospital i put it to you that your mind was working over time already knowing what may or may not hapen.

  Not spirit world just normal dream state in which you mind thinks through things and plays out different forms of stress reduction.

  Reality and dreams are two different things?

  I Think not as many as those crazy demon possed Pentecostals.

  They are by far more mentally challenged than any JW.

  They clam to have the power of healing and demon removal.

  I watch them on tv sometimes to show people how possed they are in making money.

  Clearly instant hypnosis on pre screened people whom are vunerable to be influenced.

  WTS stupid analogies for how to live your life

  one of the things that always bothered me about the wts teaching, is that they take these passages from the bible about a soldier, or battle, or staying awake, being urgent etc, and then use that to justify their points on how you need to live your life each and every day.. for example some brothers came over for sheparding (don't we all love those) and read a scripture in nehamiah somewhere about how the families had to camp between the wall sections to protect the city from invaders while rebuilding jerusalem.

  the point he made was that since your family is right there you be more inclined to staying awake and defending that section more vigorously.

  then he proceeds to use that into gulting me into doing more, reaching out etc.

  You know cedars, i WOULD NEVER HAVE BLOOD.

  It is the last thing i would want in my veins.

  Saline as a last resort, is far better than blood anyday.

  One thing the WTBS has correct is avoiding blood.

  The advantages OF DOING SO ARE REAL and TANGABLE.

  It annoys me so much when people emotionally talk about blood being good to help someone.

  So far from the truth.

  Come to africa and i wil show you first hand what i deal with in treating people. you will NEVER WANT BLOOD AGAIN.

  The USA is is very biased pro blood because it is a HUGE business to the suppliers.

  Those suppliers have created a market need and do so with full immunity to facts.

  They blatantly continue, but you never hear the bad effects of having blood, why not?..

  Because they pay out and cover up. It amazes me how people get emotonally charged about the WTBS and yet neglect to mention the losses and damages from getting blood that are far higher than not getting it.

  no doubt everyone has been following the juan viejo postings regarding the watchtower kingdom hall "grab" on jwn for the last couple of years.

  called the mrs and me to say "wow- you have to google this" we did...came here to jwn ...became members..and the rest is history.. in the last nine months i have been calling and emailing contacts in the silicon valley for verification on the societies theft and forced sale of the menlo park kingdom hall (near the new facebook heaquarters) because the story seemed...a little far fetched.

  every reliable contact i made has confirmed what juan reported.

  the latest edition of the free in christ ministries journal contains a very interesting article entitled the watchtower and masons.. drawing upon material from the book the watchtower & the masons by fritz springmeier, it gives the following parallels between the things that c t russell believed and those taught by the masons:.

  * both believe jehovah is the most important word being the basis of their dogma, and the name of their god.

  * both believe god yielded power to a lesser god.
