Do the Jehovah Witnesses break up families?

for some of you wonderful people on here will remember i asked a few questions and was concerned about my wife becoming a jehovahs witness,...well, she is baptised now and fully fleged (committed).. i have been called possessed by satan , mentally ill, a schitzophrenic and was beaten emotionally and mentally.

eventually i had to leave our house after 2 years of this situation getting worse.

The answer is YES in my case. For some of you wonderful people on here will remember I asked a few questions and was concerned about my wife becoming a Jehovahs Witness,...well, she is baptised now and fully fleged (committed).

I have been called possessed by satan , mentally ill, a schitzophrenic and was beaten emotionally and mentally. Eventually I had to leave our house after 2 years of this situation getting worse. After many non - productive discussions about the bible , the watchtower, creation issues etc etc.. left both of us with hate and vindictiveness. All her decisions are based on someone elses writings and not from our family join decisions. We, ( myself and step son) suffered her constant attempts at trying to get us to listen to the supposed truth about the coming of the new age, biblical scriptures, the laws of thermodynamics.,.... ( that which she doesn't know the first things about). All of which both myself and her teenage son rejected in favour of reason, free thinking..and historical facts which the JWs appear to be lacking in the area that history proves that things are gettin gbetter for humanity not worse!!! We, also on social gatherings had to suffer the bible being pulled out and quoted from. I had emotional issues and instead of support I got a "cold" wife with bible in hand.

I am now homeless.

When my wife turned around to me and told me , after 8 years of marriage that she didn't trust anything I said because I was not a Jehovah Witness member I realised that those people in the organisation she has know only a comparitively short time hold sway over her thoughts and feelings to the detrement of our family.

Why you may ask did this break our marriage up?...............Well, I questioned and argued against the organisations good reputation, questioned their doctrines, warned my wife they were false prophets, got angry at her for being obsessed and not trying to reason what the fact were about the watchtower predictions, refused for any teaching to be given to my 6 year old son and banned her friends from comming around our house on christmas eve (I got the distinct impression that they had come around to gloat over her refusing to celebrate christmas).

After I refused to celebrate our marriage aniversary in protest over the chrstmas and birthdays issue she got hostile. Then acted like an victim.

If you can believe that she has constantly tried to find any excuse to call me a bad father when dealing with our son over video games and film content, it would be true. I have commented on how much censorship needs to be considered when teaching the bible to young impressionable minds. There are many horror stories that children need not know, I got an agressive, abusive and hysterical reponse in defense of her stance.

I have witnessed the hate against a neighbours child who is terrible but also in need of forgiveness,. I sponsored him for money raising for charity and she hit the roof!!. She decided that she is "chosen",.....After 2 and 1/2 years the nightmare continues. Anyone wonder why some people actually hate the organisation then this is why!!!!!

Any husband whos wife, (or visa versa) comes into contact with that organisation and falls for their lies is going to have a tough time. My advise would be to not get angry, be patient and loving. My lesson which I learned too late.

The Watchtower spread a disease by gentle persuation and coertion by promising what they cannot deliver. They spread mistruths. Don't let your family suffer like mine is!!!

i really don't think we are in the last days.

i came to the conclusion that 1914 is false and is no more than another year in man's history, so hence we are not living in the last days prophesied by jesus.

TO answer your post. Records of events have been up until lately scetchy and accurate event recording is poorly accounted. You see more strife with people and humanity because there are so many people on the plaent so earthquakes effect more people. Krakatoa was the first ever recorded volcano eruption but we have archealogical evidence of Mt Vesuvious that erupted suddenly and killed a whiole town in their sleep. The earth has been maoning and groaning moving and shifting for an eternity. The WTBS couldn't predict anything accurately. They tried along with 1000s of others throughout historty in a desperate hope something will happen. It hasn't.

Just to make a point ,... England suffered sulphur gas from a volcano eruption in Iceland. This gas was infact sulphuric acid that killed thousands of people who breathed it in. This was in the 1500's. The gas crossed over the UK and Europe in on summer. This was recorded in parish records but only in the 20th Century researched and found. No wrath of god but a natural event. Imagine what they must have thought when the gas traveled over the countryside???

Humans have a facination for dooms~day prophesising and even the fire of London in 1666 was thought to mark the end.... 666 being the supposed number of the beast. Please, stop listening to people who make well out of telling you that it is all going to end soon ...

UK charity "Refuge" gives response to WT article on domestic abuse

i'm sure by now you are all aware of the feb 15th, 2012 study edition of the watchtower, and its outrageous experience depicting domestic violence.. as you may know, i have been looking into the matter in some detail.

i decided to contact the uk domestic abuse charity "refuge".

they indicated their concern towards the article and offered to help in any way they could.

NIce to see you are sharpening the axe whenever possible Cedars!!! Intertesting that you have found many ways to get leverage to show the WT in a bad light. I say this to my wife, time and time again. There are no experts in the writing department in Brooklyn and their best efforts to be literary are bias from their point of view only. Any medical and scientific information is repeated but worded biasly to make jehovah and the WTBTS to look good which is not always in the interst of their members. I don't think, even if the WT interests were in saving human life or making life easier, could word it correctly without contradicting themselves or their doctrines. I still often see and hear in my head a member from the GB on a DVD smile when he said that "persecution is a good thing". It creeped me out This to me never justifies the WT actions or doctrines.

Which part of the bible prohibits blood consumption because it is bad for health??

i have a couple of posts on here becuase this blood issue is unclear to me.

i was shown by my beloved that the blood contains the soul but does not mention the fact blood is bad for health.

does it say anywhere in the bible that blood is bad for health?

Thanks for the replies,...food for thought as it weere,...moreover ,...Interestingly another "twist" on biblical scriptures. It is so easy to make anything fit when it is required and use it to justify the end results. I guess thats why there are so many interpretations of the same words. My beloved is stil a fledgling and I am seriously seeking a way for her to not sign any blood pact with the devil ( WTBTS). It is beyond reason I think

I wonder why, when quoting and looking for health issues regarding scripture that only a small part of hygene is mentioned. It is crude and at best very misrepresentative of what science knows. Whilst it is interesting to know that Kosher meat has its benefits, I wonder what hideous ailments they blamed on gods judgement and wrath when it was infact food poisoning or some bacterial related illness.
