Do more you slacker from July KM
by life is to short inthey still give my husband km for me.
i truly do not know why so i was flipping through the july one and it made me so mad, another example of us not doing enough.. "nelena, who is 19 years old and lives in bulgaria, had two desires-to be baptized and to auxiliary pioneer.
however, she suffers from hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy, which for the moment is incurable.

Are they really that weak willed?
by jean-luc picard inmr falcons thread on jw partys made me think about my new family's get togethers.. once or twice a year, we have a get together/picnic ( around 40 or 50 mostly family ).. we drink quite a bit of wine/ pernod ( our wives or 'sometimes husbands) drive home ).
i have never heard crude talk.
people sware a bit, but in an amusing kind of way.

"The Disfellowshipped Are Dead To Us"
by dontplaceliterature ini had a conversation with a friend previously mentioned on this forum.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/members/private/206541/1/dinner-with-one-of-my-best-and-most-liberal-jw-friends.
we were speaking about a mutual friend who was disfellowshipped, and i mentioned that i missed them and wondered if they were okay because it wasn't like disfellowshipped people were dead to us...and he immediately responded "oh yes they are!".
this is really out of his character to say.

It has been my exsperience that this is not the thinking of the faithful witnesses i new....I say this in defence of the faithful and dedicated witnesses that prooved better friends (with there courageouse smile in the street) than my ex friends rebel witnesses, who ignored me as dead to them after my escape.

WTS Controlling Tactics Similar to Phillip Garrido's on Jaycee Dugard ........
by flipper in........ and of course, that should come as no big surprise considering phillip and nancy garrido were jehovah's witnesses either before, or quite possibly at the time they abducted & kidnapped jaycee and stole her life away for 18 years.
i will share some excerpts from jaycee dugard's new book " a stolen life " and see if you also identify similar mind control tactics garrido used on jaycee that the wt society uses on 7 million members.. notice this quote from jaycee about schools and education , " i, however, have mixed feelings about high school.
on the one hand, for eighteen years i had been taught ( by garrido ) that schools are bad and kids learn bad things there and peer pressure can ruin a child's life forever ; but when i consider who i heard all this stuff from, a kidnapper, rapist, pedophile, narcissistic, pervert, i can only come to one conclusion.

When i was at school in England we had the cane for teenagers.
On a programme iam watching on culture channel the woman of a African tribe are whipped by the men and left with terrible scars.
Thankfully in England attitudes to both smacking and shouting at your children are changing and i beleive this change is reflective with young witness parents.
