  Circa:1983 How they made me feel

  i am posting this so that the lurkers and the ones saying "oh they don't do that" can see.

  i was treated this way all through my time with the witnesses this is what they do and have done.

  this poem was written in 1983 and it hasn't changed at all in the organization.

  what does love mean?

  a group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "what does love mean?

  "when my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.

  Elder at my door last night

  i was taking a bath, when the door bell rang.

  i got out of the bath tub and went close to the window, and saw an elder go back to his car.

  the last visit i had was a few days before christmas, from the co and his wife, while visiting our congregation.

  JH, Very interesting thoughts on your post. I would like to give you a pat on the back because you seem to be a very giving and generous person. Try not to worry too much about the jerks that people can be. Just remember that you treated them kindly when they needed help. That will come back to you someday. I would not in the least feel compelled to open my door either. I hope things go great for you!

  i grew up in the religion and was baptized at.............supposedly the most important day in our lives and i cannot remember how old i actually was, anyways...... i believe it was 13 or 14. i was never disfellowshipped.

  i have a "worldly" boyfriend whom i love dearly, and i no longer attend the "meetings".

  i do not disagree with the organization entirely; in fact i am not even sure if i disagree with it at all.

  We Won... District Champions

  my boys pulled out a come from behind victory to take the district high school basketball championship tonight 59-55. i won't sleep a minute.

  both teams were very evenly matched but as i thought our conditioning would be the difference.

  they couldn't buy a bucket in the 4th quarter and we rang them up.

  well, my best friend sarah, the love of my life, has deemed me a bad association.

  just when i thought i could get her out those bastards sucked her right back in.

  i know by starting this thread i'm beggin' for a flaming, but this is very serious and need some support and this is the only place that i can get it.

  Hello Mackey, I feel bad for your situation. Sarah is entitled to live her life the way she wants. She has to be willing to search for the real truth on her own terms, if she ever does at all. Just try to show her how much you care by your actions, and don't push her away with too much of trying to get her out of the watchtower. Sometimes it can take years for things to happen. I wish you the best, and I hope all goes better.

  My four year old just made me laugh!!!!!

  i just sat down at the puter and my four year old came in, sat down beside me, calmly picked up my new world translation bible and said, "daddy, what is this bible for?

  " boy does that open up a great debate.

  if she only knew the impact of her question...... i thought it was really cute.

  Hello Anti, Great story. I also have young children, and they sure know how to ask the tough questions without even knowing they are doing it. You may want to begin talking with her about the book of Revelation or possibly the trinity.
