I would not be honest if I said I was not afraid.Not so much Armageddon as defined by the Watchtower,as the thought that if there is a God,I would not be acceptable to him.

What I've found here
by paul from cleveland ini originally came here to find proof that the witnesses don't have the truth.
i was so afraid of being destroyed at armagedon.. i didn't really find the convincing proof i was looking for.. what i did find, however, is the love and total acceptance that i hadn't felt before.
to me, that's more important..

so, i immediately logged out on it.
i have a lot of firewall's etc.

by moshe insorry, to be so blunt- for a whole day i have watched people here patting themselves on the back- we're a large army, oohh, look out wt, we might do something, well not today or tomorrow, but someday!
maybe, i have to just accept that a lot of jw's who are exiting the kh by the back door will never find a backbone to stand up to mummy and elder daddy.. jw's have a learned ability to see themselves in a better light than everyone else sees them.
ask a jw, if they are a charitable religion and they would likely all say they are, but when pressed to name a charity they will be unable to do so.

I feel that we all have our own personality types also.We had the same personality while believing the Watchtower message.We have the same when we don't believe it any more.Some of the people that were outgoing at the hall (pioneering,Elder status,etc) are sometimes the most outspoken about telling Witnesses how wrong they are,now that they are out.
In my own case,While I was a witness, I didn't judge others because they were not (maybe a little),Now that I no longer believe the teachings any more,I don't judge people who still go to the Hall.I don't feel it is my place to do that.I know I am not the sharpest tool in the shed.For all I know my present way of thinking is clouded.I just always try to keep an open mind about everything.I am not afraid or too proud to admit I may be wrong.
I think you may be mistaking people being a doormat,with people who have a different personality as yours,or are just in a different situation as yours?
Just my take on it.

I couldn't help but feel torn between remembering my heavenly father and concern about the unchecked areas.I forgot the ritual.I never forget the ritual.Ever since that day long ago when I was a small child.I distinctly heard it.I was not imagining.It came from under the bed.Or was it from the closet?I couldn't tell for sure.I clearly remember lying there,motionless,frozen,afraid to take in my next breath.After what seemed like hours,I said to myself,"1,2,3,I am free.You will not bother me".It made me feel more confident,less afraid.I said it the next night,just to be sure.Although I did not hear the noise then.Somehow,the next night became every night.I became afraid again.Afraid that if I did not say the ritual,then the noise was sure to return.Perhaps louder this time.But this night was different.Why?Maybe I was just so glad to be hitting the sack.So glad,I started to lose respect for the creater of that noise from long ago....
