Welcome happysistah, I look forward to reading more of your posts. I grew up a witness. At about 22 I started doing some reading like the crisis book you pointed out. I still do believe in God and the basic principles it stands for. Mankind cannot rule itself because a little thing called greed gets in the way all the time. To me, There really is no other choice but to believe in a higher power. Without that, We just get old and die. I choose to believe that there is something more than that. I used to believe that only the witnesses would be saved. Now I know that is not true. I only hope that God will see a good person in me, and not an evil one.

Is Satan the good guy?
by blackout inif i were to believe in the bible (which i am starting to totally disbelieve), i like the idea that satan was actually on mans side, and when you look at what he told eve he was actually telling the truth, it was god who lied.
this used to cross my mind as a witness but i would very swiftly dismiss it as demons affecting my thinking.
didn't he say we could rule ourselves if given a fair chance?

Hi Everyone! I'm homeless now!
by Yizuman ini just arrived there yesterday afternoon where my bro-in-law dropped me off.
my first night's sleep wasn't exactly eventful since there is no beds available and i have to sleep on the pews which my body doesn't exactly agree with hard wood and no cushion on it.
so i didn't sleep very well.

If you can see yourself working in a skilled trade, carpentry, electrician, etc, then go to some local unions and see if they are hiring any apprentices.

Yahweh's New Covenant Assembly

an ex jw friend seems to have got well into this group,they have adventist and millerite roots like the jws,he looked into the assemblies of yahweh,but thought they were too centralized around one man and intolerant of dissagrement like the jws but he seems to think this goup are much better in all regards and non organizational.. does anyone know more about this group,i wonder if they have sanitized their web site a bit?

I wish that Jehovah, Yahweh, God, would just tell everyone on earth with a thunderous voice from the heavens , Which church to go to. Who knows, Maybe the New covenant assembly is the best place, Although I am not familiar with them.

I'm disfellowshipped, and I will partake at the Memorial.................
by Fruitcake inwell, nisan 14 is rolling around again, and i am going to partake at the memorial.. when i was a goodstanding jw last year, i really thought of the relationship i had with the christ, and partook, and they all had a cow.
but i had a good standing, so they pretty much left me alone.... well, surprise!!
i am now disfellowshipped, and some inner voice tells me to go back there one last time and partake, i am not doing this to be a pain, but to show the new congregation that i had belonged to, who i am, and to give others the courage to examine themselves, and their personal relationship with the christ.. i believe disfellowshipping is unscriptural, so i am confidant!!

Panic Attacks
by rebel ini don't know if this subject has been touched on before - i didn't know what section to put it under.. i have to go to the meeting this sunday - basically emotional blackmail by my husband (long story).
i have suffered from panic attacks in the past.
when i don't go to the meetings, and my family do, i get very panicky and breathless.

rebel, I am sorry that you feel bad. I hope you do what is best for you. Just remember, Things can change really quickly. Plans change. Something comes up unexpectedly and making the meeting may not be possible. So try not to worry about something that may not happen. I hope your panick attacks go away.
