I was checking out "craigslist" once and came across a comment from someone who was at a Walmart checkout and was given $100.00 by the lady in back of her. The person was shocked and the lady said she was blessed and wanted to share what she had.The person that received the money was white and the person giving was black. The person commented how they had predudiced feelings and that what this lady did had really affected how they felt about that. Anyway, if you want to know, maybe this person you gave the money to, also posted on craigslist? Slim chance though huh?

I can't believe what I did.
by reneeisorym inso yesterday i was watching the news and i saw something about secret santa.
there is this movement of people who hand random strangers $100 bills at places like laundry mats and thrift stores.
so i was "moved" and decided to give it a shot.

Are there times when it's better to say nothing?
by compound complex ingood morning friends:.
it's said that upon your becoming a jehovah's witness someone ought to lock you up for six months (maybe longer).
perhaps the same could be said for those of us who've learned the truth about the truth.

My neighbour has got this huge tool that vibrates the whole house and I just can't take it anymore.
The man next door has a large erection in the back garden, which is unsightly and dangerous.
Same guy?

Here's an experience I had.......
by WingCommander in.....around the mid 1990's.
there was a sister in our congregation that was very poor.
she was kind, dressed very modestly (not in shreds, even though poor) and was missing some teeth, probably because her non-jw husband used to get drunk and beat her.

Most of the elders I knew cared for the congregation. There were a few that did not. A jerk is a jerk no matter what there position is. That's great that your family cared enough to pick her up for the meetings. Not enough people like you in the world. Simple acts of kindness mean a lot.

I'm tired of all this snow!! I have already raked my roof off a few times this season.I think we are headed for the snowiest season on record. Now we have about -4F. and winds blowing at 25mph gusting to 40. I want to move south where it is not so extreme.

Raising children as JW's
by lancelink intonight my wife and i attended a christmas play held at a local church.
it was really cute, 4-8 year olds recreating the whole christ story, when suddenly this totally empty feeling hit me like a punch to the face.
i realized how much we missed out with our own two kids by raising them as jws.

As long as your kids know that you love them and did your best with them, nothing else matters.

Have to Take Customer to Small Claims Court for $5,000 - Any Suggestions ?
by flipper inwell, it's actually $ 4,800 to be exact, but it might as well be $ 5,000 .
so any of you had experience taking a customer to court before ?
or have to take someone to small claims court ?

I have not had experience with small claims, But I believe the loser pays court fees. Maybe if you told your customer that you were taking them to small claims, then they would pay. Also, could you call the company that they are getting the bid on and explain your situation? They may be interested in knowing?

I remember the Paradise book. When I was Little maybe 6,I got in trouble for drawing a certain body part on Adams picture, towards the front of the book. In pen too! I don't remember being afraid of the pictures. That pic that Blondie posted looks pretty scary for any kid though.

The book about "touching the void" was good. The author also wrote an excellent book called "Into thin air". Firsthand account of climbing Mt. Everest.
