It is really INDETERMINATE SENTENCING. The judge says "an indeterminate period of time not to exceed Life Imprisonment" or typical wording to this effect. This is the technique used in most states. However, the fuzzy and addled 4th estate reporters interpret this as a "Life Sentence". Wrong. When Persecution and Judge are serious about it, the sentence is read to the effect of "Life Sentence with No Chance of Parole". Now THAT is a LIFE SENTENCE.

So, many times we are "robbed" by the poor understanding of the reporters which leads to slipshod journalism.

So, many times we (spectators to justice) DO NOT GET ANYTHING NEAR THE EXPECTED SENTENCE. Such terroistic individuals should get one of the TOP SENTENCES: LIFE (a real Life Sentence) if not the Death Penalty.

As already indicated, they have had something to say about it before.

#2: I havent ignored your point, I havent got there yet. "Here is where the surprise comes", to paraphrase the old Prophet$.

I dont agree with all the US Human Rights pushiness. We should let it slide, because we (US hat) arent really capable of picking a straight and moral high ground path that is defensible. Many mistakes have been made and more are likely to be made.

The US should simply get out of the "moral guardian" business and just do what needs to be done. Frankly, and rightly or wrongly, the US has supported too many dictators to crow loudly about this. This definitely needs the old reverse gear and back off.

As far as Human Rights are concerned, ALL parties have too far to go on this one.

Ill go all the way back to the beginning: the Germans are on a high horse, at a bad time for the world. They have had internal terrorist attacks and so has the US. First things first, get these turkeys and worry about piss-ant, feel good ideology afterwards!!!

Frankly, nobody can keep up with these justice/injustices. They are all "opinions" done for what seems right to the nation for their own reasons. Who Are we to say what is right for the next sovereignty AS LONG AS IT KEEPS ITS SOLUTIONS/PROBLEMS WITHIN ITS OWN BORDER??

When they come outside those borders looking for trouble, it is not a good idea to meet them with rose-petals, a Coke and a smile. Carter, the "Coke and a smile" president, got his head handed to him on plate.

Fine, we can send you and the Germans the bill for maintenance of these offenders.

More for ya: the Germans are flush to the gills with Muslim "invaders". I watch Deutche Welle on occasion. A while back they mentioned the "Caliphate of Dresden". The Muslims have moved in and set up their own provisional governments within Germany!!!

Its not that the Muslims have influenced them, YET, but look out!!!

Yep, "early outs" make LIFE a worthless sentence for one who deserves it. And truly, anyone involved in murders deserves that consideration (death penalty or life). Certainly anyone involved in serial killing, mass murder or terrorist (wholesale) killing is deserving of one of the two most severe choices.

But, the "early out" scenario makes a "slap on the wrist" of a serious issue.

The problem with all the DO-GOODER pap is that the DO-GOODER always gets played for a sucker by the one he tries to help. (Laughing at the foolish DO-GOODER, not getting un-serious.)

MISTAKEN REFERENCE, but likely my fault for confusion. The "sweetness and light" DO-GOODERS are the ones who OPPOSE the death penalty. These are the guys who would rehabilitate the Al-Qaida.

Sorry, but they are following an obscure by-law in their religion that they feel says to kill. Like a few other religions we know, they have their scriptures twisted and even the scholars disagree on these interpretations.

Fine, we can send you and the Germans the bill for maintenance of these offenders.

In the case of the terrorists, there is another thought that is missing here: imprison them and MORE TERRORIST ACTS HAPPEN TO LIBERATE THEIR IMPRISONED COMRADES. We are better off, in the long run, to take the harsher action.

Unfortunately, the "nationalistic crap" is here to stay.

That is so BECAUSE TWO (OR MORE) NATIONS ARE DISAGREEING OR DISAGREEABLE. Even making it A or B wouldnt really help. Those "rule the world" freaks over at the UN would homogenize everybody, so that would probably be to the taste of keeping the "nationalistic crap" out of things.

Are they consistent? Not known, but probably not; that is especially the case if this is their first utterance of this matter. Heaven help us if they (Germans) are starting on a quest and we have another "mission from god".

On the death penalty: being "nice" (forgiveness, sweetness & light, no death penalty) doesn't work on the jerks who don't play by your rules (sworn killers who laugh at you and shoot you twice because you won't shoot at them). Sorry, guys, this is dirty work.
