I agree w/ Francois, but plmkrzy has a point. Taking plmkrzy’s thought into account, it’s mostly like the WTS said it, let it slip and IMMEDIATELY STARTED BACK-PEDALING.
Amazing has a closer view of the above: ‘moderating the exactness...’ (BTW, Amazing, thank you for the new WT quote. I have been waiting for such. It is the first time the WT has handed ME a club!!!)
The WT/other literature quotes are there, more or less ‘cast in stone’.
But other, ‘tougher stuff’ was said and implied from the platform and other places. And as all know, the WT operates heavily by inference and ‘reading between the lines’. (Any who really try to use the ‘matter of conscience’ thing can tell you that.)I, too, was there (been there, done that). But, I rolled my dice differently than most. The last meeting of 1974 was the last meeting I ever attended: ON PURPOSE, ON PLAN & BY DESIGN.

"You Are Expected to Believe As We Do"...
by stevieb1 ini am currently having visits made on me by the elders,who are trying to help me "unbelieve" the things i have learned to be true from the bible, which naturally contradict wt doctrine.. as well as asking me "where else will you go" they said that members of the public walking into a kingdom hall expect all within it to be jehovah's witnesses holding firmly to their doctrines and not holding divergent viewpoints like i do.
they said it would not be proper for someone to hold a belief that was contrary to the society and still be expected to remain a jw, even in name only.
i have stated to them that i can no longer preach the wt version of the "good news" so they automatically assumed that i am not obeying jesus' command to preach.. i am in a bit of a predicament as you can see.

I looked up the old post (JWD) you referenced. That has the essence of what I was referring to from H2O. There was another that I recollect where you said "...NO FORUM...". But that quote has the same material message.
Someone like you (been there, done that) needs to say that periodically.

Fighting in Afghanistan/Warthog
by Adam inwith all i've been reading in the newspaper, i have yet to hear one mention of the a-10 warthog.
this plane is extremely manuverable, highly survivable with tripple redundant systems all thru the plane, and packs a major punch with its nose cannon which the plane was built around.
it would seem perfect for the small arms fighting going on right now.

by QUEENIE inthe local jw elders are kissin our asses to try to get us back into the fold---membership must be really really low to resort to this -- queenie is in a state of shock....lov ya ((((hugs)))) they corner us at the local bus transit cuz it is public and not our private residence !!!!
