  Why Is Alcohol "Good" and Marijuana "Bad"?

  up until a short time ago (a couple of years maybe), insufficient research had been done on either of these drugs to say what the long term effects were.

  only recently has it come out that certain kinds of alcohol (red wine etc) can reduce blood pressure.. so, with this in mind (the fact that they could actually be as bad or harmless as each other), why the heck is marijuana illegal and alcohol fine?.

  Probably because Marijuana can't be taxed as easily? Making Alcohol requires a significant investment
  as does the production of tobacco (both causing more deaths and misery than drugs).
  Marijuana however is a weed, anybody can grow it, so making it much more difficult for the state to
  extract their pound of flesh.

  Abebooks.com is pretty good for finding secondhand books.
  I have used the uk site several times to locate hard to find books.

  Did you have time for a hobby when you were in the Org?

  most witnesses are too occupied to have a hobby.

  with all the meetings and field service and work, there isn't much time left for a hobby.

  and if you did find time for hobby, i'm sure the elders would have pressured you to use your spare time for the kingdom, not hobbies.. did you have a hobby while you were in the org, or did you develop one after leaving?

  Astronomy, which I was always told "there'll be plenty of time for that after Armageddon" so I never bought a telescope. Now I have the time I don't have the money so I am going to have to make one as and when.
  Fishing, which I was told was extremely bad so I sold off all my expensive gear for peanuts only to find out a few years later was not such a big sin and only was so in the opinion of one C.O.
  Cycling, which I would have loved to have done more seriously but never had the free time. Now I can't do it because of a b*ggered back.

  on saturday, whilst in the uk seeing my kids (i live in holland) i got a call from my girlfriend who had just aqua-planned 100m and whacked into two cars.

  fortunately she was fine other than the shock of it, and so was everyone else, just minor damage.

  she got everything sorted out and we had a opel vectra as a loaner; as my normal car is a polo, this was good.

  for god's sake, if i hear another american on tv telling me about "eye-wrack" i will scream !!.

  it is pronounced iraq with the 'i' as in 'india' (or do you pronounce that eye'n'd-ee-yah ?!

  it is how they pronounce their countries name which makes it the correct way to pronounce it.

  What do you do when you cant sleep?

  i have been sick for the past few days and i havent been sleeping right until last night.

  i took a few tylenol pm and they knocked me right out.

  i slept most of today and now that its night time again i cant sleep.. so my question to you is, when you cant sleep... what do you do to finally go to sleep?.
