That reminds me of some Spanish holiday snaps I saw when I was in the clan.
In one of them there was a brother passed out on the floor outside his villa,
a puddle of puke at one end and a puddle of pee at the other.
All good Christian fun I guess? :)

Witness girls Party hard in Rome
by Ticker inhttp://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.simonconnell.com/2000/rome/rome09.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.simonconnell.com/2000/rome/rome_photos.htm&h=279&w=431&sz=20&tbnid=svkl3lgmv4hhgm:&tbnh=79&tbnw=123&hl=en&start=5&prev=/images%3fq%3djehovahs%2bwitnesses%26svnum%3d10%26hl%3den%26lr%3d%26safe%3doff
just came across this guys trip blog through a google image search on jw's.
anyways i found it interesting that toword the very last of his pictures of his trip to rome he has a few of him partying it up with some jehovah's witnesses and being shocked at how different they were from the ones at the door.. i found it funny as i remember being a witness kid and partying, how it felt like such a relief to cut loose, get away from the jw talk, just have fun with friends, and then go to a sunday meeting with a hangover.

Is jesus birthday year wrong?
by Smoky inyou guys probably heard this before, but it is a 1st for me.. i was watching some of the jesus/christmas history documentaries over the holidays, and for the most part it was the information i heard before in documentaries, but then bam!!,.
it is said that the 'person/church' who calculated the year jesus was born, are off by 3 to 7 years....wow.. have any of you heard this before?.
so, does that mean the whole 1914 calculation is messed up?.

There is so little evidence for Jesus even being a real person it's impossible to know the correct date of his birth.

Advice anyone? On how men think and faithfulness.
by gabriella inthis may be kind of a long story but any input or advice would be really appreciated.. i have been married for three years to a really good guy.
he's my best friend and confidante.
not the most spontaneous person i have ever met (he says it is because he is very comfortable in the relationship).

He said that if we were free he would marry me...........

The Who's Who of Saviours, Here's Three, You Tell Me?
by THE SHOOTIST insaviour#1 who was born dec. 25th of a virgin mother, called a saviour and the only-begotten son, died to save mankid, crucified on black fridy, his blood spilled to redeem the earth, suffering death with nails and stakes, the father and son combined in the earthly body, put in a tomb, went down into the underworld and 3 days later his body disappears from the tomb and he was resurrected as the most high god whose body symbolized by bread and was eaten by his followers?
saviour#2 who was born of a virgin mother on dec. 25th and his father was a carpenter, a star marked his birthplace and angels and shepherds were attending, the ruler slaughtered infants in order to kill him, but he survived to heal the sick, lepers, blind and deaf, dying about the age of 30 being crucified on a tree, portrayed on a cross, rose from the dead, considered the saviour, followers knew him as jezeus (which means pure essence) and it is said he will return on a white horse to judge the dead and fight the prince of evil?
saviour#3 who was born to a virgin mother on dec 25th, put in a manger in swadling clothes, became a traveling teacher performing miracles, turning water into wine, rode in triumph on an ass, became known as the lamb of god, god of the vine, god of gods, king of kings, only begotten son, bearer of sins, redeemer, anointed one (christos), alpha and omega, hung and crucified on a tree and rose from the dead on mar.

In fact Jesus was so real and did so many amazing things that nobody even wrote about it until at least (maybe) 40 years after he was supposed to have died. This in an age historians love because of the amount of contemporary written material. :p

Do you believe the bible is true?
by skyman in.
i would like to know how many of you believe the bible is true?.
-
Mutz
The whole thing is based on myths and legends of old. Any 'serious' study of the Bible shows that it is not at all inspired or even historically accurate. There is no proof that Jesus ever lived or that the authors of the New Testament even knew him. The Bible Geek show at infidelguy.com is worth listening to if you want some pointers and ideas on where to look for real 'accurate knowledge'.

What are your favourite vegeatables?
by greendawn innutritionists tell us that vegetables contain a wide variety of substances that are beneficial to our health, and these are not vitamins and minerals, they are called phytochemicals.
given the fact that in the western world people consume a great deal of industrially processed food eating a lot of fresh veg (and fruit) can only be beneficial.
do you consume a lot of these?

To IT and computer geeks
by littlerockguy ini am not an it person per se but i do a hellaceous amount of typing and i cannot stand brand new cheaply made keyboards that are now on the market.
i prefer the old ibm clicky clack keyboards.
i take my old ibm keyboard whereever i work since i can type up a storm on it; something i really have a hard time doing with newer keyboards.

I always get Cherry keyboards, they are top quality imho, no fancy knobs or buttons though, so if you want a hairdressers keyboard look elsewhere. :)

but WHAT is the best approach to dancing with a girl?
Can't help you there, a naked man in nettle patch moves with more style than I do on a dance floor. :) -

Is it time to demollish the welfare state in the UK
by Gill init's an unfortunate fact that the uk is gradually slip sliding away in the ranks of great achieving countries.. our tennis players aspire to greatness but slip at the last, and often first hurdle.
our national health service though catering to all, is no where near the quality it should be.
i can vouch for that fact from last weekends experience, having to call an emergency doctor out to see my son, he missed totally what was wrong with him.

Some facts and figures I found recently when doing some research about Benefits Fraud etc.
TAX AVOIDANCE & FRAUD
Estimated annual cost (£ billions):
Corporate tax avoidance: ..................85
Business fraud: .................................14
Government fraud in Whitehall: .........5
Tobacco smuggling: ..........................3.5
VAT fraud on mobile phones: .........2.5
Total welfare fraud: ............................2
Jobseekers Allowance fraud: .........0.19
Bulldozer smuggling:...................... 0.15
I looked into this when someone started a rant about Benefits Cheats.
If you happen to read the Daily Mail etc they make it look like it's the 'work shy' that are
the source of all the countries ills, along with children (those with the least chance of affecting anything)
immigrants etc. The figures, however, tell a differnt story.
When was the last time you saw an article in any of those papers that bore any relation to the facts though? -
