how many times did i hear this or its variations from householders and return visits as i preached the jw message:.

in a nutshell, what keeps most jw's together (and the group as a religion) is the validation of their own ideas.

hey, at the meetings in those kh's, it didn't matter what anyone else thought.

I think Awen puts it the way it makes sense to me.

I don't quibble with what Society servants write; they're entitled to their thoughts, but I'm entitled to mine also.

We were all given free minds; and God always intended for all of us to use them and handle matters for ourselves.

Since we are judged on our behavior, it's God that does the judging, not other fallible human beings.

So, the GB better just lead themselves and use the Society to protect all its people; but leave us alone morally.

That's how I feel.

it has been some time since my last post on here and its been hard for me to post much since i'm still in and my fellow dubbies are always poking there heads in my business trying to find something wrong to get me into trouble, but i do enjoy lurking on here from time to time... and i do plan to post here much more in the near future!.

actually, being on this site and reading all of your threads (mostly on my phone) has become my favourite thing to do at meetings and on field service and pretty much anything wtbts related!.

you all have been such a great help and comfort to me when i feel down, seriously even the trolls that come around here every now and then leave me with a sense of tranquility, for it reminds me of how i used to be just like them at one point, it gets me all "happified" to know that i have now awakened and see the "truth" about the truth and feel quite at peace with myself at times.. as some of you that have read my first post may know... i've been working on a really, really long fade, and so far its been going steady to say the least.

Actually, judgmentalism was the primary topic on the Board when I went on retreat.

My chiropractor gave me a homeopathic remedy for being too rigid.

You folks think I'm way bad now, you would have run screaming if you had met me twenty years ago.

Actually, I am grateful for being on the outside.

And, as a matter of fact, I interpret the Society's refusal to answer ANY of my letters AS

their tacit agreement that I ought to be free to pursue Jehovah my own way,

which I have.

Currently, I attend with Anglicans, but I have been with Catholics, Quakers, Mennonites,

Sikhs, and Methodists, and I don't feel condemned for being there with them.

I didn't fit in there either; but what else is new?

Everybody's nice, "in church."

One step closer to freedom!

Dear OneDayIllBeFree,

Giving your situation some more thought ... because your pain is palpable ... I wonder to what extent your prayer life can help you.

Does Jehovah JUST WANT you to be free, or does he want you to LEAD THE ORGANIZATION back to its roots in Truth?

Quitting might be more convenient; but staying and leading might be more valuable to Jehovah, albeit much HARDER to do.

many of us needed time to get away from this religion.

i took the course of fading and it's worked pretty well for me.

after i saw sooooo many silly rules being enforced, i needed to get out!.

Single parents got and get the same sort of inattention that "fades" people.

The "ideal" marriage of a leading man and a compliant woman is difficult to find.

But Jehovah is not difficult to find in the world, believe it or not.

I've never felt I lost Him ... since 1978 when I left.

this was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.

of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.

Don't forget: Charles Taze Russell was a Freemason, and he believed in HIERARCHY.

Jesus didn't establish a hierarchy; He sent disciples out to use their own judgment.

So, there's a conflict right there.

stop referring to it as "the truth".. "the world" is not going to turn on you because you are all great shining examples of human beings.

if "the world" turns on you, it's because you are a dangerous cult.. taze russell and rutherford were both nuts.

but "the light gets brighter"...the light was already bright, it's called the christian greek scriptures.

For those who still see the Creator YHVH (Yahveh, Jehovah) as worthy of contact,

a church or sect isn't the only way.

Adam, Noah, Abraham and Isaac had NO CHURCH to go to.

Somehow they "qualified."

I think we can too. :)

Oh my goodness. I feared you're not kidding; I wish you were.

I think and feel Yahweh (YHVH/Jehovah) is larger than the life of a single hierarchy.

Yahweh didn't establish a hierarchy, only a King and a Priesthood, in Israel.

Jesus didn't establish a hierarchy, only sending out disciples to use their own judgment. I don't mind being counseled about behavior that affects other people; but -- I guess I have a very very bad attitude, when confronted with a hierarchy trying to tell me what to think. It's not going to happen.

In this generation, anyone who dares to claim they know what is true is subject to ridicule and defamation.

"Truthers" WHO DO NOT stay in their walled-off Forum enclaves adhering to safe topics are hounded and cut off.

There is no way to carry on a dialogue or conversation being granted ten posts a day.

It all becomes a waste of time.
