  this is another general question for the board and i ask your indulgence because i am trying to understand how others think.

  if there truly is no god/god... what is wrong with the existence of religion?

  Mr.Freeze, after having read the Urantia Book, the Oahspe, the Bible, the Right Use of Will Series, Enki Speaks (by Zecharia Sitchin) and some of the work of Anna Yates (a "channel")

  what I find is, ALL THESE LITERARY WORKS DOVETAIL, all tell the same story, details excepted.

  So, ARE THEY ALL MAKING IT UP?

  Gosh! That's a hard question.

  I'm gonna go get some coffee and think about it.

  Okay, mythology seems to me constitutes generalizations about experience that hold among a culture of people.

  But the mystical, to me, is multi-dimensional contact between Hell, Earth, Heaven and the Cosmos.

  That's how I define those domains. And there are FEW FACTS demonstrable in those domains, mostly, opinions.

  the only people are show any interest at all are catholics.. witnesses seem to avoid every venue where somebody else might show up.. zionists do likewise; but they have a different reason.. but, god yhvh is god of the whole earth, is my point.. anybody got any idea what i can do to stimulate godly conversation on my page?.

  i'm tryin' to minister to the merely-confused as witnesses do out in service.. .

  years (many decades) ago, most jws knew what their religion taught.

  they could go toe to toe with a minister or priest and make some good points.. i believe today's witness knows little about most of the convoluted teachings and revisions of the "truth".

  yesteryear's witnesses got a 9/10.

  I was about an 8 and a half. I didn't get into the subtleties of it.

  Acknowledging the Creator was just about as far as I ever got with people.

  One girl in her 20s did get baptized after I studied with her.

  I wonder what ever happened to her. Gosh! That was forty years ago!

  this was some of the most blatant , aggressive , controlling information i've seen in awhile in the " witness only " version of the wt.

  of course, it's always blatant, but the manner that was used in this article was so authoritative and demanding - it's apparent the wt society is losing members and they are amping up the control tactics to keep members trapped.
