  Time For Brits To Think Again?

  lots of people have been asking me why the united kingdom has a monarchy.

  what, they ask, is the point?.

  it's a complex issue that i haven't really thought much about until recently.

  I think it's good to hold on to tradition, if for no other reason than people in general find security in the familiar. As long as your real government is controlled by (semi) competent people then why not keep the monarchy? I think it will be a LONG time before England ever abolishes it. THe support for the monarchy is waning here in Canada, but it's still strong.

  if you could have one wish come true, what would it be?

  just one wish, that you would have to live w/ for the rest of your life, whether if be winning the lottery, finding true love, world peace, etc...what would you choose?.

  i got a phone call from an ex dub i used to hang out with 20 years ago when we were young bucks.

  i hardly seen him in the past 15 years.. weve gone different ways and his family was always a bit..you know... tainted.

  a bit nutso.. anyway, the guy calls me on tuesday night all distressed and wanting desperately to see me.

  Being accused of a sex crime is a powerful weapon. There is practically no defence. Even if you are found innocent, your reputation will never recover. It's a bit frightening and I know even with myself, I'm far less friendly with children then I used to be.

  He's already being stupid by talking to other people about this. From the little you've mentioned, he seems to have lost just about any common sense he has. Like Comf said, tell him to get a lawyer. You're involved now btw. They most likely know he saw you, and if I were you I would expect a visit.

  a regular poster revealed how an elder confided in an ex-jehovah's witness from norway who in the past has always insisted he is trustworthy.

  i even recall him becoming outraged on h2o a year or two ago at the mere suggestion that he would turn a trusted private email correspondence into public fodder, or "out" any jehovah's witness who confided in him.. .

  That's a fairly large assumption. There is a big difference between not being able to recreate life and choosing not to in the way you have interpreted. Why the hurry Yadirf? From the look of you in those pictures you posted awhile back, you won't have to wait long to find out one way or the other. Now go sit by the fire with a good book and think of the days when you mattered.
