  This is really sad.....

  The assaults included Berry hanging the girl by her wrists from hooks on a barn wall and, on another occasion, tying her to a tree, according to court records. The girl testified that Berry, a Jehovahs Witness, quoted Scriptures while forcing her to perform sex acts. She also said he struck her and threatened her so she would not tell her mother.

  Dear You Know

  I have tangled with a few elders and never did one suggest that I disrespect "Mother"
  Remember "Mother" is like the Army, she's right even when she is wrong. There is no logic, no reasoning usually only the standard, I'm a company man.
  If the society (or even a few elders) gave the kind of advice you give most of us would not be setting in front of a computer today.

  Therefore, the only conclusion I can reach is. ........Your'e not really a JW are you?

  You Know, I can not comment on whether the bible prophecy as applied is correct or incorrect, I simply do not know. I gave up having a "sure understanding" on May 28

  If you have an article that you feel sums up this application of scripture I will be glad to read it. However, from my little research I do not see that the WTBS agrees with you.

  From a non-prophetic viewpoint: It seems to me that the law given to the nation of Israel was pro-family. It protected the family unit, it protected children from divorce, from abject poverty, from sexual abuse, you name it. It provided for a secure environment to grown up and become solid citizens and worshippers of God.

  However, the Watchtowers child protection policy has cased a rife in the fabric of society. How? 23,720 molesters on file and how many victims? 2-12 each maybe more? And what is the outcome for those children?

  Why must we conclude that God is the backer of this religion?

  he allows bad shepherds to abuse and misguide his sheep in order for them to prove that even that sort of atrocity cannot destroy the love and faith of God's loyal ones

  Sorry, You Know, but if I believed that line of reasoning I could just be in any organization and excuse them their faults too.

  While it is possible to apply the warning regarding shepherds that feed themselves without fear to individual elders doesnt such an application become problematic when applied to the leadership?

  The 93 Watchtower states: Sheep must be protected from predators

  From the evidence I have read a Silentlambs, at this site, and from my own personal experience I feel that the organization (not just individual elders) have seriously failed in this regard.

  Okay, You Know, I read the chapter of Ezekiel and seemed to talk about the condition of Jewish people under the Pharissee before Jesus became their shepherd. As I understood the chapter the bad guys get the boot.

  So I checked my trusty CD and it says: (w93 9/15)

  Today, the clergy of Christendom portray themselves as shepherds of the so-called Christian congregation, but its spiritually sick state proves that the clergy are like the wicked impostors who neglected and abused the people when Jesus was on the earth. In no way are they willing, able, or qualified to shepherd the flock of God.

  God gives his sheep tender care. (Read Ezekiel 34:15, 16.) If a fat sheep was to oppress Gods flock today, Jehovah would "feed" him with disfellowshipping now and annihilation in the "great tribulation w88 9/15

  From this chapter how does having wicked shepherds that are in total control prove this is God's organization?

  joe anderson thought you'd like to know what caused him to be invited to attend a judicial hearing held in his honor.

  fyi, joe sent a copy of his resignation letter to two governing body members, dan sydlik and jack barr, men who joe and barbara were quite friendly with.

  he thought that since so much time had passed since barbara's appeal letter was given to the local elders and nothing was happening to bill bowen or barbara, that maybe these gb members were holding things up because of receiving his letter and giving more thought to the whole issue.

  My deepest regards for the Andersons, they have taken a stand for truth and for love of neighbor.

  What difference does it make if the Watchtower Organization claims to teach the truth ?

  1Cr 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels , but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
  1Cr 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

  If you can take good men, husbands, fathers, grandfathers who already know that child molesting is wrong and train them to over ride their conscience what value is a spiritual education?

  Pedophile kills child - psychotic breakdown

  so is the wts waiting until their pedophiles start killing innocent children until they will the authorities do a "proper investigation" versus jehovah will take care of it in time & pray more sister?.

  the previous actions of this pedophile are the same as my stepfathers except that he didn't kill my sister.

  I personally know of two cases where WTBS encouraged the victims to not report the crime and then the pedophile later went on to attack and rape a "wordly" child. These men are now convicted, one is currently imprisoned the other is out, but a registered offender. I intend to send this info the Attorney General of my state. I would recommend others do the same. I would suppose that WTBS is closely guarding their SECRET FILE because it contains MUCH damaging evidence.
