Make sure to count the time you spent leaving magazines at the rest stops! There's no such thing as a vacation from loving Jehovah!

Is The Governing Body Of Jehovah's Witnesses In Agony?
by metatron inwith every passing magazine and assembly, i ask myself, why?.
why does the governing body care?
the diatribes against college, against the internet and i-phones and vampire movies and afterschool sports and social networks and everything new, interesting or useful in the world, why?

The whole generation thing is so stupid. It's pathetic when they have resorted to stringing people along with the excuse that all of a sudden a generation is the length of two overlapping lifetimes. If only the rank and file weren't so effectively brainwashed that might be called a fucking clue as to the merit of your dear religion.

Is the CD ROM WT library dangerous to our machines?
by hamsterbait ini noticed on the installation instructions:.
"close all other programs, including antivirus programs.".
i am not a computer whizzkid, but i have never installed software that told me to close antivirus.. what are they putting on our hard drives that they dont want us to know about?.

The WT CD installs secrt software that turns your web cam on then sends it to WT headquarters so that the guberning body can whack their demonic puds to the site of you sitting at your computer, on the evil internet, in your underpants.

Does mankind need religon to have morality?
by highdose inan arguement i've encountered recently is: god tells us right from wrong.
if you don't have a reason to do right instead of wrong then no one will have any morals.. i disagree with this entirely of course.
what kind of morality is it when you are only doing what is right out of fear of being punished for doing what is wrong?.

How do you feel about not seeing your dead loved ones again?
by highdose init always felt rather unatural the thought of seeing people who had been dead for years.
how would they come to terms with the huge passage of time that had passed?
how would they be able to cope with the fact that their family had probably hugely changed since they had died.

My "dead loved ones" are the ones that introduced the JW scourge to my family and wasted 2+ decades of my life. That being considered, combined with the fact that we're all headed to the same place, I don't give them a moment's consideration.

Did you keep any of your old JW paraphernalia?

Ahh yes, didn't even mention that. I threw away my "meeting" clothes as well. Normally I'd donate clothes that I don't use anymore, but those JW posessed/cursed suits, shirts, and ties needed to see their end in a lake of fire and sulphur. No bitterness here hehe :)

Watchtower baptizing young children
by Marvin Shilmer inwatchtower baptizing young children.

the sweet little boy youll see in this blog article had no capacity whatsoever to understand the commitment he would be held to.

Brainwashing a child and giving them a disadvantaged start in life is disgusting and criminal as far as I'm concerned. Yes, many ex-JW's turn out quite successful, but putting a child through school as an outcast, not permitting them to be friends with the other kids at school, not permitting them to broaden their horizons with extra-curricular activities, discouraging higher education, risking their lives by denying blood transfusions, instilling a deep sense of guilt/fear/dread/whatever towards a murderous imaginary god, and on and on, does not help a child optimally or even normally develop the skills to live well in this world.

I didn't keep a shred myself. There were a few items in there that could arguable have sentimental value. My terribad dad gave me my first bible 20+ years ago with a letter from him written on the inside cover. My sister gave me one of those custom bibles with my name and other crap on the fancy cover after I got baptized at 14. All trash though as far as I'm concerned now. Everything that those things represent is just too disgusting to me.

Jesus is invisibly ruling!
by life is to short ini was thinking about a thread of terry's and how the whole concept of jesus is ruling right now only he is invisible sounds like a crazy person is speaking.
yet this is one of the major religious teachings of jw's.
one that we were expected to explain to strangers by coming uninvited to their doors.

Of course Jesus is ruling invisibly from heaven right now! Can't you tell from all the invisible benefits and invisible solutions that his kingdom has brought about?
